About
It all started during a family dinner with a joking statement of “lets make our own whisky.” With a shared love for good whisky and fascination to see how things are made, this father and son team decided to explore the idea. David and David Woods researched and studied (and some say obsessed) over how to build a still and process alcohol. Now, winning awards, the Woods family understand that they have created something very special.

Wiggly Bridge Review
We happened to pass by Wiggly Bridge and we decided to make a stop there and check it out. First I tried the white whisky and while I am not a fan of white spirits, I found it to be a very nice surprise, hints of vanilla and very smooth. The small batch bourbon was very smooth and wasn’t overly hot. The two standouts for me were the bottled in bond bourbon and the small batch rum. The extra aging of the bottled in bond bourbon really showed, even smoother with good oak, toast and caramel flavors. It was incredibly drinkable. The small batch rum was perfect for sipping, hint of sweetness without the syrupy feeling that I get with some of the darker rums. I purchased two bottles of the bottled in bond bourbon and one of the small batch rum. My wife had a cocktail called a Pain Killer which she really enjoyed as well.

The distillery barn has excellent ambiance and the COVID protections are unobtrusive but there. The owner an staff were very friendly and we had a great conversation while there. We will definitely come back every time we are in ogunquit.

We love hitting the Distillery's in TN, and KY so when we discovered Wiggly Bridge Distillery well we just had to go! And they did not disappoint, you can sample the various spirits they distill and I must say it's nice to have a quality distiller up our way here in New England! The Gin astounded me the most as I'm not a gin fan as juniper just over powers all the other flavors. Well they seem to agree and WOW I like THIS gin! Took home a bottle of vodka and I now have a reason to come back to buy the rum,,, then come back and buy the Bourbon,, then Tequila!. And yes a bottle of gin as well! :)

I've seen this place numerous on trips to Maine, but never stopped until today. All I can say is that I was extremely impressed. My wife got the agave flight (three types of "tequila"), while I got the "original six" (white whiskey, white rum, aged rum, vodka, gin and small batch bourbon). In addition, I was given an additional tasting of an aged gin that had rested in old bourbon casks. We also got a tasting of their bottled in bond bourbon.

We ended up sharing the tastings so we each tasted the entire line. I was very impressed. I have rarely stopped at a craft distillery where everything was of high quality. At Wiggly Bridge, the entire product like was tasty. Even the white whiskey which is essentially 100 proof moonshine was smooth and easy to sip. The Vodka tasted like a high quality product. The rums were both good representation of rum. Both bourbons were tasty and well worth a sip. Finally the Gin was tremendous. It was light with lingering floral notes that were as unique as they were delicious

If you like to visit distilleries, make this a must stop.

Shelby did a great job telling us the history of the distillery as well as educating us about the distilling process. But her skills really shone behind the bar. the cocktail selection included in the tour were amazing. And the old barn building that houses the distillery is worth seeing as well.

Such a cute distillery/bar in a great old barn. The bar tender was super nice and helpful. He was on his own when we got there and had just had 20 people show up at once. No problem. We had to wait, but he was so apologetic that we felt super bad for him.
They want to expand, but the town is fighting them. Hopefully, they will get to open their new space soon.
They make Excellent product.

What an amazing find! Stopped here on a little getaway. My expectations were not that high as I will admit I am a 25 year bourbon drinker and a snob for Tennessee Bourbon. Julie the bartender and Dave co owner were there. My first taste was of a limited production wine barrel aged bourbon, it was very good but not my thing. I then tried their bottled in bond bourbon and was blown away how good it was. In fact, it was so so good I bought a bottle for my home collection.
We also tried some of their aged Agave ( did not know it had to be from Mexico to be called Tequila). We started with the white and were amazed how smooth it was. Normally we like Anjo’ Tequilas but the Represado was by far our favorite.
The old barn atmosphere was fantastic. The only thing that needs to be added is crackers or pretzels to clean your palate between tastings.
We will be back for sure!

So it was raining. So why not check out the local distillery. I was immediately greeted and welcomed to the establishment. I was given a quick low down on the choices at the bar and felt so welcomed how could I say no! Tried a couple Bourbons and settled on an old fashion. It was yummy. And I heard one of the new guys offering up some tequila’s and of course I had to try those too. Kind of wish I went with one of those cocktails in hindsight. I don’t think you can go wrong though. I ended up walking out with two bottles of tequila. May be back for a third.

The distillery has started serving truck food four afternoons a week. Each dish offered is made with one of the distillery’s liquors.

I had the Pork Belly Tacos... Excellent! Homemade tortillas surround succulent chunks of pork belly that have been brushed with an 9-spice agave marinade which adds wonderful heat. Perfectly matched with pickled red onions, not to mention queso blanco and salsa verde.

Whiskey Sour made with care and include egg for froth. Real deal!

Two tacos and drink came in close to $25, so not cheap, but worth treating yourself with.

The distillery is in an old (but updated) barn which provides a perfect sipping and supping atmosphere.

The food is a new thing they’re testing out; I hope they get enough business and positive feedback to make it a permanent, 7-day-a-week part of their repertoire.

My husband and I stopped by on a Friday afternoon. We each had a flight and tried a specialty cocktail. Everything was fantastic and we loved the info Ian shared. Thank you for your hospitality!
