This is a beautiful, small museum filled with hundreds of music boxes. It is fascinating to walk through and observe how music boxes have changed through the ages. You will be surprised at how elaborate some of them are. This is a perfect rainy day...More

Does anyone know what happened? I can't image they got all the antiques out without anyone noticing? We were given a behind the scenes tour, one that took 2 hours in August of 2013.... They seemed so devoted to the preservation.... I hope they are...More

The museum closed up suddenly, and left customers and employees down. My daughter left an antique to be redone and and now it is gone,no trace of the owner. Word has it he left the United States.

Just drove to Wiscasset to go to Museum and sign on door that museum is closed. They need to update website and signs in town to reflect this - too bad. Wonder what happened to all the music boxes.

It is an amazing place. Our guide Glenn was very knowledgeable. Our one hour tour actually lasted two hours since our guide was eager to answer all questions. He gave us an opportunity to listen to many music boxes and other mechanical instruments. We were...More
