    Loving the llamas
My daughter-in-law, two grandchildren aged 9 and 12, visited Briery Hill Llamas in July 2023. From the moment I contacted the proprietors, Steve and Lisa Fox, we were given helpful advice as to how to book and to sort out a suitable date. The location of Briery Hill Llamas is idyllic; surrounded by beautiful countryside and farm land and visitors are given a warm welcome. As stated by other reviewers, you are first taken on a tour to be introduced to some of the llamas. In our case, it was all the males. We were told about their habits and foibles, of which there are many, and walked around the paddocks housing these noble animals. Then four of the male llamas were prepared for their walk with us. A gentleman, also called Steve, accompanied us and gave us advice as to how to lead the llamas - preferably not near ferns or acorns which apparently do no good for the llamas' digestive systems. Did you know that llamas have three stomachs? And all three of these stomachs find ferns and acorns difficult to digest. The walk took place in farmland and delightful woods and, like all happy experiences, was over much too quickly. I would definitely recommend a visit to Briery Hill Llamas, especially with children. It is not only a very pleasurable experience for people of all ages, it is also an educational one as you are learn so much about these quirky and characterful creatures.
Wow! what a fabulous review! Thank you so much for your kind words. It is impossible not to fall in love with the llamas , they are truly magical. We are so pleased that you enjoyed it and would love to see you again in the future. Kind Regards, Lisa & team

    Memories made by Llamas
Well what a wonderful way to spend a beautiful Sunday afternoon with my family! I decided to go full llama 😉 and we did the llama walk , grooming them and meet the mumma’s & cria . We were lucky enough to see a new 3 day old baby . Lisa is just fabulous and gave us lots of info on them which squashed some myths. They are lovely animals with their own personalities. We then had a wonderful afternoon tea in the Orangery on beautiful vintage china , with our bellies filled we then browsed the shop before heading home . It’s a truly wonderful experience being able to get close to the llamas in a superb setting Thank you Lisa
Wow! Thank you for such a llamazing review! We are so happy that you decided to do the full experience, it is a treat, and the llamas are just adorable and captivating. Glad you enjoyed the afternoon tea and surroundings. We would love to see you again in the future. Kind Regards, Lisa & the team

    Llama and latte
Highly recommend this. We joined our grandchildren for 2 hours of great fun. Llamas very gentle but each had character. Lisa and Steve, our guides, very friendly and knowledgeable . Culminated in scrmuptious hot chocolate and llama biscuits in lovely summer house. Even had gluten free biscuits! We'd definitely do this again.
Wow! Many thanks for such a fabulous review. We are so happy that you enjoyed the experience and llama cookies and drinks. It would be brilliant to see you again in the future. Kind Regards, Lisa & team

    Perfect birthday party
I took my 10 year old daughter with one of her friends, my son (12) and my parents as a birthday party experience. I can honestly say we all had a wonderful time. Lisa and her team were all very welcoming and friendly. The llamas are wonderful and clearly adored and very well cared for by their owners. The whole experience was fun from the moment we began the tour. The trek with our llama was perfectly set in beautiful countryside and we all loved the experience. We had ordered hot drinks and cookies (llama shaped) and even the Gluten Free members of our party were catered for. I would highly recommend Briery Hill Llamas and my daughter has already asked if she can go again next year for her party!
What a llamazing review! This means such a lot to us as a family business to read your kind words. Llamas have a way of putting you under their spell! Once you meet them it's so hard not to fall in love with them :-) We would absolutely love to see you again in the future. Best wishes, Lisa & the team.

Llama Experience was great fun - would definitely recommend!
I can highly recommend Briery Hill llamas. It is clear Lisa absolutely loves running her farm and adores her animals. For our Llama Experience and Latte, Lisa first took us round the farm introducing us to many of the llamas whilst giving us some interesting llama facts. We then chose our llamas (or rather, they chose us!) to go on walk. They are such lovely animals and all have their own individual personalities and we had a lot of laughs on our walk. We ended the experience with a coffee and llama biscuits (I'd even been catered for as a coeliac, with home made gluten free llama biscuits which was much appreciated). I'll definitely be back!
This is just fantastic to read your brilliant review! Thank you so much it really means a lot to us as a small family business. The llamas are completely the stars at the farm, and it truly is an honour to have them within our family. Glad you loved the cookies :-) Our family like the gluten free one as well. We would absolutely love to see you again in the future and thanks again for your kind words. Best wishes Lisa & team

The best day - beautiful, fun and unique.
Such a fun and unique experience! Before starting the session we were introduced to all the llamas and got to learn about their individual personalities. We booked for an hour and a half guided walk - we were able to pick our own llama for the session and were given a tutorial on handling before heading off. The woods were beautiful and it was tricky to guess who enjoyed themselves more - us or the llamas! The team also provide you with high quality photos and videos so there is no pressure to document the trip yourselves, leaving you free to enjoy the experience!
Thank you for your lovely review! We're glad to hear you enjoyed meeting all of our lovely Llamas and you can't help but fall in love with the Llamas. We hope to see you again soon :)! Best wishes, Lisa and the Team.

What can I say? The host(s) were welcoming and kind both to me and to the Llamas. The surrounding couldn't be better. I wish was a Llama! I arrived miles too early thereby disrupting their routine. They were not fazed and fitted me in good time. Thanks for giving me such a lovely time.

    Llama trekking with passion!
Llama trekking with Lisa (and family) at Briery Hill Llamas was a total delight! Lisa’s passion for llamas is absolutely contagious, and her friendly, knowledgeable guidance made the experience even more enjoyable! The location and views throughout are truly stunning. Afterwards, we enjoyed scrumptious homemade cake and a fabulous llama adorned cappuccino in the summerhouse by the lake- the perfect way to wrap up a fantastic and unforgettable morning. Lisa and family also have beautiful home, clothing and gifts available for purchase, all made from the very llamas you get to walk and meet during the experience. Highly recommended!
Thank you for your lovely review! We're glad to hear you enjoyed meeting all of our lovely Llamas and you can't help falling in love with them. The Llama cookies and hot drink is a yummy treat after your Experience as well as browsing in our lovely shop. We hope to see you again soon :)! Best wishes, Lisa and the Team.

More than just a walk in the woods
I found the whole experience of dealing with Lisa from the moment I booked the experience to the minute we left the farm enjoyable and easy. When we arrived we were introduced to all the various male llamas and spent the next hour or so hearing about llamas and their individual-ness. A spot of grooming of males, took me a little while to get into being so up close and personal to what are quite large animals, but this then helped when we started the walk up and through the woods. We then had a lovely, and I mean excellent, cream team looking at the lake and the much sleeker female llamas. Looking forward to the Xmas Fayre and seeing the Llamas again. Thanks Lisa to you and the team for making the experience very enjoyable. Phil and Nina
Thank you for your lovely review! We're glad to hear you enjoyed meeting all of our lovely Llamas and you can't help falling in love with them. We're glad you enjoyed our scrumptious Cream Tea and we look forward to seeing you both at our Christmas Fayre! We hope to see you again soon :)! Best wishes, Lisa and the Team.

A wonderful afternoon in the autumn sunshine, meeting the different llamas and seeing how their personalities were expressed and finding out about their care and husbandry. I asked loads of questions about keeping llamas and got very well explained and detailed answers from someone who obviously loves these animals as much as she knows about looking after them. Walking through the woods with Picasso was a real treat and I recommend it to anyone (other llamas are available, I just chose Picasso!). When the experience is rounded off with a super afternoon tea with home-made cakes and sandwiches, in a cosy summer house overlooking the pond fringed with the autumn colours of the trees it becomes an experience to savour.

I had a llama trek and afternoon tea for two experience as a Christmas gift and managed to book it for shortly after England's lockdown lifted. The setting is beautiful, situated on a farm in the Gloucestershire countryside just in sight of the Malverns. Lisa, the owner, was fantastic, she gave us a full tour of the site before the trek so we could meet all of the llamas, and learn about them. They all have their own personalities which is pretty amusing! But they are obviously very comfortable around people and some love a bit of attention/interaction. We picked a llama each for the trek and spent an hour or so going through the woods with Lisa, and the whole experience was very serene. Finished off with a generous afternoon tea with some lovely views over the grounds. If you are animal lover, and fancy something a bit different, I couldn't recommend it enough!

Great visit to Briery Hill. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. We got to meet every single one of their 30 llamas, including the two cria born in the last couple of weeks. Contrary to popular belief, llamas don't spit at people and were friendly, curious and an absolute delight to spend time with. The 'trek' is a gentle stroll up through the clover meadow and into the woods, with plenty of llama induced stops for foraging along the way, so for anyone worried it might all be a bit too strenuous - it itsn't! The setting at Briery Hill is a delight: glorious countryside views and we were even treated to a welcome 'fly past' by the resident buzzard as we arrived. Our post-trek cream tea was served in the summerhouse on the lawn overlooking the lake and was delicious. A really chilled and relaxed afternoon with the lovely llamas and I'd certainly recommend it - so much so, I plan to go again.

How good is the experience of meeting llamas and taking them for a walk? ....It's our fifth time at Brierley Hill Llamas! And it's been five stars every time. Lisa, Steve, Angel and Linda all made us feel welcome, and their love for their llamas is infectious. You can't help but come away loving llamas.
We loved meeting the female llamas today, especially their baby llamas. Sooooo cute. Then we met the boys, and chose our llamas to walk with. Taking them for a walk through the field and woods.
We finished off the day with a delicious cream tea with home baked scones (still warm from the oven).
Worth the money, when you think about the choice of llamas, and how personal it is, as you're taken round in your own group (no matter how big or small).
So, meet and learn about llamas today. And learn to love llamas.

What a lovely place, small farm tucked in the middle of no-where. They were all lovely, very cute and cuddly and the Lama’s were great too😂. Amazing animals, that looked so well looked after and really seemed to enjoy the experience as much as we did. Angel was very knowledgeable and we learnt so much from her about the Lama’s. make sure you add in the mother and baby experience if you can and we topped it off with an amazing home baked afternoon tea in the Gazebo overlooking the lake. Clearly an amazing baker and top service from Nan who seemed to love keeping us topped up with tea and coffee. A great experience even with a bit of rain, just go prepared with suitable footwear and waterproof. Fun for all the family - next time we must stay over in the shepherds hut with what looks like an amazing wood fired hut tub !!

We bought vouchers as birthday presents for each member of our family ranging from 12 to 44 years old. We would thoroughly recommend the experience to anyone. We loved the way each Llama has it's own character and loved meeting, brushing, walking and feeding them all. We had the added excitement of a newborn cria (Ziggy) literally just before we arrived which was a priviledge. Lisa and Angel were very welcoming and profesional (even in the midst of the baby arriving). The scones are exceptional as well !!

Set in beautiful countryside, we were met by our guide Linda for the Llama trekking experience.
The day started with introducing us to all the llamas and giving them a comb through their hair, this was followed by a walk through the woods, all the time our guide Linda would give us insight into llama behaviour, answer our questions and take photos of us so that we could have something to remember the day by.
The Llamas were unique, inquisitive and I think enjoyed our company. After the trek we had lunch in the summer house overlooking the lake with a selection of homemade cakes!
Definitely made to feel very welcome and would recommend to my friends to come and visit.

We had a tremendously enjoyable day out at the llama venue. The customer care of the team looking after us was truly first class as was the passion of the staff towards the llamas. Before booking I didn’t know much about llamas and didn’t think there was much to them. After spending a few hours with Lisa I learnt so much and now see them very differently. Lisa knows all much about llamas and is happy to share this, we had every age group covered in our party and they were all captivated by what Lisa had to tell us. After the llama experience we were treated to a delicious lunch in a stunning venue. The views from this venue and the ambience were stunning. Thank you once again for such a lovely and memorable day. It made for such a special day.

What an amazing morning we had on Tuesday and was well worth the getting up early so the llamas didn’t over heat when we went on our trekking session. I walked the slightly naughty Troy who so desperately wanted to be picked he was making noises…basically saying pick me! Pick me! So how could I refuse! My boyfriend picked Chi Chi who was very laid back in comparison. The team were awesome and so obviously loved and cared for all the llamas and were really knowledgeable as well. We’d like to say a big thank you to Lisa who introduced us to all the male llamas and told us funny little stories about each of them and their personalities. Also another big thank you to Angel who went out on the trek with us and also took us to see the females and the two babies Freda and Aurora, I hope that they are both doing well especially baby Freda who was only 5 days old.
We ended our morning with afternoon tea which was delicious and all the cakes and delicious goodies (llama cookies!!) are made on site and I can’t recommend this enough. Everyone was lovely and so welcoming, thank you for an amazing experience, Annie and C.J

We had such and amazing time and experience on our llama trek. All the staff were extremely friendly and very knowledgeable. The llamas were great - all with their own personalities and characters - you can tell that they are really well looker after.
We also booked a cream tea which was really lovely - great service and very tasty scones. Would definitely recommend the experience if you are an animal lover and/or looking for something different and fun!
