I used to shop here often. With the arrival of COVID 19 and the mask mandate, their refusal to mask illustrates exactly how much they care about their customers and makes me question the caution used in food preparation.

We were lucky enough to get a batch which was still hot and steamy. They were The perfect competition sugar, cinnamon and apples.

I live nearby this store and I want to like it. I have put up with the condescending tone that the owner has towards everyone. Like its such an effort to ring you up. Today I went and there signs all over the place asking to social distance to protect the owners. And here comes one of the owners out with no mask on.

I have been patronizing Spiller's since they opened many years ago. As a nearby neighbor I have spent thousands of dollars there over the years. Indeed I have helped put their kids through school. It is the locals who help to get them through the long winter months. NO MORE! I was appalled by the lack of the staff not wearing masks behind the counter, although customers were. When I asked the cashier about it, she puffed out her chest and said "It's a personal choice". I wryly thanked her for looking out for their customer's safety. She told me to kiss her @#$. The owner was also there, sans mask and didn't say a word. To me, it's simple common sense (and a courtesy) to be wearing a mask in an area where food is prepped and meat butchered. I will not be returning, ever. I will encourage my friends and neighbors to do the same.

This is a nice very small country store to pick everyday staple items. However, the staff does not wear a mask, and apparently nor do the customers. This store is small and compact. The owners should lead by example and place a huge sign at the entry that Masks are required. Sorry, if change is not made, I cannot support this local store during Covid. Shop at your own risk.
