Our trip to Maine

The lobster roll is awesome. The Cole slaw is great. The blueberry pie is 2-3" tall. It is worth the trip to Southwest Harbor even though we are staying in Bar Harbor.

This little spot off the Main Street is a nice quaint spot. Service was friendly and relatively speedy. Food was adequate but portion very small. We did not have ice cream but this seems to be the common item ordered.

This is a place where the owners and employees know how to take care of you. We had fantastic food that met our wide variety of tastes -- fried clam basket, veggie pizza, lobster bisque, etc. Enjoy the picnic tables out on the side of the cafe if it's nice out and enjoy the people watching while you eat. We just enjoyed a wonderful meal and dessert and can't wait to return and try more of the superb fare at this cafe! Frances is the lovely owner who took time to talk with us and make us feel at home. It is obvious that she and her employees try to extend to guests a feeling of being at home.... More

The apple and blueberry pie were both fantastic. The toasted coconut ice cream is the best coconut ice cream that I have ever had to eat. The owner and staff make it a most enjoyable stop in Southwest Harbor.

Stopped in for a late lunch. It was 2:30 and there was standing room only so we knew this must be a good place to eat! My kids had ice cream--lots of choices and big scoops. I had the meatloaf special to go--delicious. During my wait I watched the very pleasant staff and watched them dish out huge pieces of... More

We split a sandwich platter here, to ensure we could have dessert because it smelled so delicious. The sandwich was very good but the pie was killer! We each had blueberry pie alamode, it was incredible. Great crust, great filling, the absolute perfect pie.

If you are looking for a snack in a quaint little town, this is a great place. We had some wonderfully tasting ice cream with good selection of flavors. The pies were delicious and some of the biggest slices I've ever seen! They also had some huge chocolate cookies that we purchased that were wonderful. This was a great place... More

If you are looking to have a piece of Maine Blueberry Pie, this is the place. My wife good not finish her piece, but I did manage to eat all my pie with some vanilla ice cream. As to see the pie before they cut it, a work of art.

On a Sunday morning drive around the "quiet side" went in to just get a cup of coffee which turned out to be a very tasty New England brew with Hood half and half. Then ... could not resist purchasing several huge home made macaroons that were piled high on the counter. These are the best macaroons we have ever... More
