My son and I fished an all day shark trip with Capt Ben Gardner august 2021. Wow ! is all the both of us have to say about Capt ben and the experience! He is professional, incredible knowledge of the ocean and all it has to offer. He knows where the fish are and is going to make the trip comfortable for everyone! We caught so many sharks that day our arms were tired and we asked to leave before or time was up! Capt ben is honest and not a guide who will “just take your money” he will work hard to put you on the fish. I HIGHLY recommend Capt Ben and Kristin K Charters for your next fishing trip not matter the species of fish you choose! Incredible service this man provides !!!👍👍

My son and I did the 2 hour trip with Ben this past Sunday. With only 2 hours we had hoped to catch a couple fish, but we actually ended up doing much better than that. Our first fish came within minutes and they kept on coming for the entire trip. We did not count, but we caught dozens of fish. Mackerel were coming in at up to six fish at a time and we also caught several black bass which we have never caught before. My son also caught his first pollock. It was a fantastic trip and we will definitely be booking another trip for next year with Ben!

We had an all day shark fishing experience for the 2nd time with Kristen K Charters and he was a great host and an even better Cpt. The man knows where to go and how to attract sharks to the boat. 2 years in a row we experienced whales and dolphins on our trip as well as catching sharks all day. This year we caught 10 blue sharks and we cant wait to see what next year brings. Thank You Cpt. Ben for another spectacular shark experience. We will be seeing you again next year in August.

My father-in-law and I have been on 2 fishing trips with Captain Ben and Kristen K Charters. Ben put us on the fish on both trips. Our first trip was ground fishing in May of 2019 and our second trip was light/small tackle fishing for Striper in late August. Ben is very personable and knowledgeable. We had a great time on both trips and would absolutely recommend Kristen K Charters and Captain Ben if you are looking to fish in Maine!

This past Sunday we took our second trip with Kristin K Charters after 10 years. We chose to fish with Ben for his encouraging and outstanding professional attitude. Ben has an immeasurable amount of patience, which is paired with excitement at every cast. We are so appreciative of Ben’s knowledge and love for fishing, it hasn’t changed since our first trip. We highly recommend Kristin K Charters and Captain Ben for any future fishing trips!!!

Fished for 4 hours with Captain Ben on Saturday morning. Ben was very polite and made sure everyone in our group of all different levels of fishing experience had a great time. We started catching mackerel for live bait and went back inside the harbor targeting striped bass. We caught many good size stripers and Ben did a great job of moving the boat around to put us in best position to be on top of the fish. Highly recommend captain Ben and will fish again with him next time in Portland.

We booked Kristin K. for 2 trips (inshore & shark.) We were so fortunate with great weather, and I have to say that Ben's expertise and energy only added to the enjoyment.
This man knows what he's doing. He did a great job coaching us all along the way and you could tell that he not only loves the work he does but the fish he's catching.

We had a great day of fishing with Captain Ben and Kristin K Charters! We caught so many ground fish and a shark!!! Wow! Ben was very attentive and helpful to my two teenage children and 75 year old Mom. We highly recommend Kristin K Charters and have chartered with Ben for many years. Best fishing charter in Portland!

Fishing with Captain Ben was the best part of our trip! My son and I had a weeklong road trip with many stops in NY, MA and Maine. The one thing my son couldn't stop raving about was fishing with Captain Ben. He kept in touch ahead of our trip letting me know about the conditions and what to expect. He is extremely knowledgeable about the area, and took up right to an area with fish. He was great at instructing me and my son on what to do, and we caught a bunch of fish! We will definitely be back to fish with him again!

Going out with Kristin K Charters was one of the best decisions we made on our two week Maine trip. Captain Ben was fun, knowledgeable and definitely a family guy; we had our 6 year old and 18 month old with us and he made sure we all had a blast. We brought home a bunch of mackerel and hooked some pollock and cudder - even a Black Sea Bass. This morning is one of the best memories from our trip - can’t wait to come back and do it again!
