We are renting a house locally for a few days. Its April so we came for views but obviously no "normal" beach beach time. We brought our two Boxers on the trip. First day there we walked to the beach we were pleasantly surprised to find the dogs could be off leash all day until 4/30. After that dogs are... More

Went for a great walk on beach with family, friends and several dogs. Great place to walk your dog in the off season. Popular dog walking area for locals. Friendly!

Great views of 3 lighthouses. Good view of the islands. Great walking route. Nice place to spend a day at the beach with a good book. In the summers there is a snack bar and restrooms.

Small cove beach with lovely soft sand. No surf and can be shallow especially at low tide, so great for small kids. Beautiful views of the Casco Bay Islands and boats bobbing in the cove. Adjacent to the local greenbelt walkway, so you can extend your beach walk around to lighthouses and other parks. Dog friendly with some limitations; but... More

This is a great for swimming however if you are looking for surf and waves, this is not the place. Great for kids because it is shallow water for a good distance, many rocks and great for finding sea glass. You have a view of an old fort in the distance (Fort Gorges) and boats coming in and out of... More

There is not a lot of parking at Willard beach on busy days but can usually find a space. It is a great beach to take a walk or just sit down and relax. In season make sure you stop at Willard Scoops for fantastic ice cream after a day at the beach. The have decent bathrooms and allow dogs at... More

This beach has a small beach when the tide is in but it's quite long so you can have a nice walk. It's white sand and very family friendly. Very New Englandy.

We were staying in the area and stopped here during a hot August afternoon. Willard is well-kept, with ample parking and a good crowd of sunbathers. There are plenty of rocks ringing the beach to walk around on, and a cool breeze makes for a pleasant respite from the heat. Rest rooms, showers, and a snack bar round out a... More

A hidden gem. This beach is perfect for small kids. Small playground, Public restrooms, a shower to wash off the sand and salt and a concessions stand. What more could you ask for? Parking is tight.
