I have been visiting this garden for many years now - even before Mr. McLaughlin died. Beautiful collection of flowering plants, shrubs, and trees that flourish in northern climate. Plants are available for purchase. There is also a small but nice gift shop. This visit...More

Lots of standard info but so many great resources for more in-depth use. This was my first "talk" here so will be on the lookout for more in the future. Looking forward to the Garden Illuminated event this summer!

I visited twice his spring, once in early May for the wildflowers, just magical! A fairy garden of blooms up the wooded hillside. Lilac season was then a stunning follow up three weeks later, the wonderful smell, the beautiful gardens... it was lovely.

Free to walk the grounds at your own pace. Lots to see and many plants on sale too. A nice little gift shop to visit makes an interesting stop.

What a treat to visit. There are hundreds of lilacs currently in bloom as well as woodland plants in bloom, plants to purchas and a gift shop with something for everyone. Take an hour to walk through the gardens and enjoy.

This is a charming informal garden with paths weaving through richly planted, generally shaded beds. There are lawns too and a great collection of lilacs which must be great in their season. For local gardeners this acts as a valuable site from which to learn...More

McLaughlin Garden is one of those few special places on Earth that once you visit, you can't help but return to again and again. Over the last several years I've been happy to experience the growth in size and diversity of the garden. The paths...More
