Enjoyed a moose tour by van with our guide Kurt. It was an awesome trip - saw a bunch of moose including 2 bulls squaring up. Kurt was very knowledgeable about moose and local info. He led the tour wonderfully and of course knew all the spots for early morning moose sightings. I would recommend Northeast Whitewater to anyone looking to enjoy time in the highlands. We did the AM tour so stayed in one of their yurts the night prior which was very posh! Our first stay in a yurt and would definitely do it again. Thanks NE Whitewater!…

My new husband and I booked a moose tour on our honeymoon. Our hope was to see at least one moose and we actually saw 3, a dad, a mom and her calf! So very beautiful! Our tour guide was excellent and went above and beyond to find us a moose. He did such a great job and was very knowledgeable about moose information. I highly recommend doing this tour and if we ever get up there again we will most certainly sign up for another tour! Thank you for making our honeymoon even more special! Robin D Madaio…

We took the 6am Moose Safari trip and were greeted with coffee and a toasty warm van which was really nice since there was frost overnight. During our ride, our guide gave us a lot of info about the area and moose, of course and answered all the questions we threw at him without skipping a beat. We then arrived at our first stop only to be greeted by 6 moose, one was curious enough about us to hang around until we took a bunch of pics, the others sauntered into the brush but didn’t go far so we were able to watch them for quite awhile. I was a little worried about the tour being 3.5-4 hours long but honestly the time flew. So glad we did this!!"…

We booked a moose safari for Labor Day Weekend as a birthday present for my partner’s mom. She’s been coming to Maine for 40 years and had never seen a moose. This experience is well worth the money. Kurt was a great guide—super friendly, positive, and informative. He also brought coffee for us at 6 am; a savior, no doubt. We saw two cows on our tour as well as beautiful Maine scenery along the way! So a raving success! Kurt also recommended some local shops and restaurants for us to visit during our time in town, and he actually took us on a short tour in the van to see where they were before we ended the safari. Jess was a great help in booking, especially because we had some last minutes back and forth changes. Experience was great from start to finish. Highly recommend. Jenn…

My friend and I stayed in a yurt, and it was so clean and comfy! Our guide on the moose safari was Bryce. He was knowledgeable about the area and we had a great time. There are a lot of awesome hiking options just a short drive from the campsite, and we were able to do some pretty remote hiking, which was one of our goals. I would definitely stay again and highly recommend! We’re already discussing when we should come again next year to do some rafting and “moosing”…
