Thank you Captain Sadie for an excellent tour! We learned so much about oysters and we also learned how to shuck. Just touring the farm was incredible, but there is nothing quite like eating oysters fresh out of the water. We tried the Abigail pearl and the Nonesuch emerald and they were both amazing 😍 we will definitely be back…

If you are in Maine near Scarborough I highly suggest you take the Nonesuch oyster tour! Captain Ed was not only very informative but also highly entertaining. We had a wonderful time. Also eating oysters straight from the ocean is not to be missed. If you love oysters and the beautiful scenery of the Maine coast it is a must!!…

Had a tour with Ed on a beautiful day just after the 4th. Really enjoyed the information and relaxing ride. The tour is slow speed so you can wear flip flops, you may need a jacket if the wind is chilly. It was mid 70s for us and I had a light over shirt. If it's hot, you do sit for a bit to enjoy the oysters, so it may be brutal not moving. There's a beach not far to enjoy before or after. If you are looking for a fun relaxing and delicious trip while in Maine, this is for you.…

Very enlightening tour of oyster farm. Met Ed at the pier for a short trip to farming area, We learned to shuck oysters using the wiggle, wiggle, pop instruction---easy to remember. Ed was friendly, interesting and answered many questions. We tried the Abigail pearls. Wish we could have tried others to compare but we were early in the growing season. Highly recommend!…

This was truly a unique experience and I'm so glad I signed up for this tour. We met our captain at the docks in Scarborough, hopped on a boat, and traveled to a nearby oyster farm. Truthfully, I've never given a thought about where oysters come from and I came back from this tour having learned so much. After the educational portion of the tour, our captain plucked oysters right from the ocean, taught us how to shuck them, and we enjoyed an oyster picnic right on the water. They were as fresh as oysters can possibly get! Our captain provided lemons and a shallot/white wine vinegar mixture. Just enough to add a pop without taking away from the flavor of the oysters themselves. The tour is BYOB so I highly recommend bringing a bottle of wine or pack of beer with you. Such a fun way to spend the evening! Depending on the time/day of your tour, plan to arrive early for parking. There is a convenient parking lot by the docks, but all the spots were taken when we first arrived. There is a $5 municipal lot just a short walk away and free street spots on the main road.…
