    Mostly Good
Having been about a decade since I was last here, a friend and I made this a stop on our vacation itinerary. The park is very pretty. Lots of flowers and clean midway make the place shine. Employees are mostly friendly, and the rides are in good condition. Parking is still free. My only real gripe with this place is lack of water to drink. There is one fountain in the park, and it was not working properly. When I asked someone in a food stand for a cup of ice water, I was told, "No!" I could either buy a $4 bottle of water or go thirsty. That's not right! Other amusement parks WILL give patrons a cup of water FREE of charge when they ask for water. From what I've heard, it is not legal to withhold free water at a public place. Come on, management. This rests on you.

    It Keeps Getting Better!
I grew up coming to Funtown, and the park has been very focused on expanding their waterpark. However, this year they invested in a brand new dark ride/haunted hotel experience. It was downright spectacular. Funtown does a 21+ event on select Saturdays in the summer, and this was the most fun I've ever had at Funtown. Excalibur is a very old-school, nostalgic, rough and tumbly wooden coaster that will bring a smile to young and old alike. The new dark ride is state of the art and downright beautiful. The Log Flume is still kicking butt and many rides from my childhood have been beautifully restored (Dragon's Descent got a whole new paint job! It looks great!) I can't say enough positives about this park. They struggles with COVID but they've rebounded exponentially. Cannot recommend this place enough. :) GO!!!

Nice day out for a family
This is a nice place to spend the day with your family. We did both sides and the kids enjoyed both. The older rides are kind of hidden so it feels like you have to explore to find them. Concessions are expensive and choices seem to run out. Food is ballpark quality and similar choices. Place seems safe and the teenagers running the rides seem attentive enough. You do have to carry a tube to the top of the water rides instead of them providing at the top. There’s a good mix of teen and tot rides

I have been to a few touristy theme parks/water parks and would consider them to a little rough but fun - (PEI Sandspit for example) I had pretty much the same expectations for this place.

I stand corrected! Overall - I was very impressed! Waterslides seemed all very will maintained - lifeguards were attentive. We ended up rented a Cabana (only because I was technically working and may needed to work off of a laptop) - the cabana rental was a game changer - it was a nice shady private spot.

They do make comments that bag will be searched and alcohol is not permitted. The place is run by kids - Gen X can get alcohol in without an issue - and it was excellent!

What has happened to this place?
Let's break down the trip:
-Just to get in, you HAVE to buy a ride bracelet, no matter if you plan to ride or not, you need to spend at least 40-50 to get in the door...
-"Souvenir cups" are a joke. $13 initially, theb $3 per refill??? Pfft! I can buy a regular drink for $5 and not have something to carry around all day. Make the refills free, and don't be so stingy!
-Half of the rides are run by teenagers who seem to have zero training or knowledge of what to do. Adult bumper cars, for example, kept dying through my wait in line. Why? They weren't charged properly from the night before, I would assume. Other "attendant" were rude and not friendly like they used to be.
-Trash all through the park! Trash is littered next to trash cans and everywhere else.
-The new ride that just opened has already been vandalized.
-It appeared to me and my family at least that they are prioritizing splashtown over funtown as it nownhas a GIANT slide pushed into Funtown. Making the already dead end paths even harder to get to.
-I haven't been in this park in 10 years on so. And I now know why I haven't been back. Once the owners died and the kids took over, it only seems to be about profit and not the fun place it use to be.

Funtown is not as much fun anymore. Now it's just Spendtown.

I do not see a future trip again for some time.

A true gem right here in New England-miles above any other attraction for kids big and small and adults in the area! My family and I had the MOST wonderful time at this extremely well maintained and well organized park. Parking was a breeze, getting in and out of the park was simple. Having the wristband made it so easy to be able to go on everything unlimited times. We had so much fun going down the waterslides in Splashtown- there were thrills for all ages. The rides in Funtown were amazing as well- everything was in wonderful working order, and just so nostalgic and enjoyable. The highlight was definitely the Excalibur coaster- we rode it three times! We cannot wait to return! And now that we know you can bring in your own picnic lunch and how awesome the giftshop is and just the whole layout we will be there from open to close for sure!

While nearby Palace Playland offers the experience of a rough-around-the-edges seaside amusement park, Funtown Splashtown USA is a little more nuanced with some light theming and serious landscaping- this place is quite beautiful. There's also a nice, well-rounded collection of rides including a large log flume, drop tower, and Wild Mouse, but the biggest ride (and surprise) is the Excalibur wood roller coaster, which may be one of the more underrated in the county (perhaps because of the park's out-of-the-way nature). Too bad the park doesn't seem to honor its own "we operate in all kinds of weather" mantra and is rarely open in the dark, although neither impacts the greatness of this modest place. A shout out to the ride operators and general staff- some of the friendliest I've encountered anywhere.

The rides in both Funtown and Splashtown were so much fun! I would have given 5 stars but a few of the major water rides were not operating well and the lines never moved. The bathrooms were very clean and the staff was very friendly. The food was the best I have ever had at an amusement park!

First time here since I was a boy. My sons, 11 and 8, had a good time at both parks. The lines were manageable and all were running. This was a pleasant surprise. Food is terrible and overpriced, but they do permit you to bring in food and drinks. They need to open earlier than 11am but overall it was a great family outing. The log flume still rules!
