Beautiful lake with a cool name that rivals New Hampshire's Lake Winnipesaukee, only better. Spectacular vista.

This is a very beautiful lake; however, I have been here twice now camping and it is always choppy. If you are a bass fisherman you will not find them here.

It is big. It is scenic. Still a lot of wildness on its shores. There aren't many easy shore access points. If you're in the area, don't miss taking a peak.

Gorgeous view of the lake from Route 17. And a crossing of the Appalachian Trail. Saw some hikers! Before you head up 17 visit the very clean restrooms near the park and across from the General Store.

Stopped by this overlook and it is another great view of the area. They seem to be trying to make it a nice attraction in the area, only if people that visit would stop writing their names all over everything in paint. Again beautiful view...More
