Saddleback is tucked away in an old fishing camp in Dallas Plantation. It is very quiet here and beautiful. Swimming is not recommended as water levels are low, and, because the Lake's deepest point is only 14 feet, its warm water is perfect for leeches to thrive. Saddleback Lake is one of my most precious, sacred places on the face of this planet. It used to be an American plan resort but was sold as individual cabins/condos in the mid '80s that are for rent seasonally. This appeared on a map to be a great spot to view the mtn. and were hoping to do some kayaking .Drove all around trying to find any access and when we finally made it to the end it was a great piece of Private Property with unfriendly signs saying No Access . At this time of year we got out and looked to see if there was any access and the Boat launches all said for their use only ,…
