Post lock down is rough, on many business, so we were thrilled when these folks opened up again. We played the new game Lost City of the Jaguar King. Puzzles are intermediate level and will be pretty obvious to experienced players, but fun and entertaining. Staff were same friendly people.

We had a lot of fun at the Escape Room. There were five of us, and we were really happy there was something fun to do outside the house. We did “The Lost City of the Jaguar King”. It was fairly difficult, but luckily we were with some really clever folks. We did use the three clues, and did ‘win’. It was challenging and fun! There was also plenty of hand sanitizer and everyone wore their masks. Great experience!

What a great way to spend a gray day!
There were only three people in our party, one of which was a 10 year old. While we didn’t “escape” we had a blast trying to figure it out. Reasonably priced..more so than the other escape room one person in our party had been to in Massachusetts.

We would definitely return!

Went on a weekend vacation to Portland Maine and decided to try their escape room out. It was so much fun!! They really put a lot of detail into it. Definitely going again in our next visit!

Went with 6 friends. Arrive a few minutes early to check in. 2 additional people added to our group. Given instructions and then had 1 hour to solve mystery. Venue comfortable. Staff friendly and helpful. Low key and lots of fun! Highly recommend.

Four of us went to The Escape Room after trying another nearby escape-themed attraction a few days earlier. Having been to both, I agree that this Escape Room is more difficult but that is largely because the clues do not connect to one another. What I mean is this: you might have one clue in the room that directs you to something else, and then that something else likely gives you the clue to one of the locks on the door. Okay, fine, but one of the clues is dependent upon you having a certain type of personal technology, and if you don't know this ahead of time, or aren't even familiar with the technology then you will not be able to solve that particular lock. At the other escape place we went to, the clues all connected to one another to form the pieces of larger clues that ultimately pointed you to the final puzzle and thus unlocked the door. It was so much more engaging.

I think that The Escape Room could do a couple of things to improve. 1) the verbal hints given by the attendant were vague at best and it seemed as if he did not even know which clues we had solved already which also wasted time because then he would ask us which ones we had solved, where at the other facility they were clearly watching us on camera and riddled hints were provided upon request on an overhead monitor. I think the overhead monitor approach was more professional and probably standardized, but it was far more helpful and showed engagement on the part of staff, 2) the room has no real theme, it just looks like a badly decorated apartment with random stuff all over, some of which are clues and some are not; at the other facility, the room had an actual theme and all décor and clues followed the theme, 3) having just four locks on one door in a corner with multiple random, non themed clues around the room ended up kind of being boring after a bit. Not that we solved it, but I think we were all pretty bored by the lack of imagination and after about half an hour we just wanted to be done - I would highly recommend that the management of this escape facility visit the other facility just so they can see what I'm talking about. There is definitely room for improvement. I think that having all clues connect into a larger puzzle (not just a bunch of combination locks on one door) would be great.

Disgusting bathroom and the whole place smelled a bit like the gross bread from the Subway downstairs. But the puzzles were fun and we enjoyed the game overall.

The escape room is a fun team building, communication skill improving, think outside of the box activity. Last night 6 of us conquered the Copperhead Saloon with 34 nail biting seconds to spare. The puzzles are tricky with clues given when needed. This was my first experience with an escape room puzzle so I have nothing to compare it to. I would definitely go back and attempt another suspenful escape from one of the other rooms they have to offer.

Thanks for the review! I definitely recommend checking out The London Blitz or our upcoming room The Butcher's Basement, both will be a fun challenge to follow up The Copperhead Saloon.

We did two of the rooms at the Escape Room (Wild West and London Blitz) and enjoyed both. There were some small hitches but the staff are very attentive and generous with hints and clues. We had fun solving the puzzles. The rooms we did were intermediate and just right for our group (two adults, two teens). It's fun way to spend an hour.

My family did the old west room. Our team consisted of myself, my husband, our 2 16 year old boys, my 21 year old daughter and her 25 year old boyfriend. It was a major family night win. We escaped with 11 minutes to spare and there was NO arguing amonst the kids, which is unheard of. We cannot wait to go back!
