It is promoted as a lighthouse lovers tour and it is! Plus on the way back, extra time to go by Little Diamond Island and Georges Island. I do love lighthouses and we got to sail close to 4 of them: the adorable Bug light, Spring Point ledge, Portland Head, and the privately owned Ram Island Ledge. The young man... More

Hi Dominique, Wonderful to hear you enjoyed our Lighthouse Lovers Cruise and thanks so much for joining us! You do a great job describing the sights we typically pass by, though I believe with "George's Island" you perhaps mean Fort Gorges, one of the Civil War era forts we pass by on the cruise (there is a George's Island in... My wife and I went on a weekend several weeks ago at the beginning of November, and book the lighthouse lovers tour. We talked to several other couples who were also in Portland for the weekend and were on the same boat. The ticketing booth and both are right in the middle of the Portland waterfront, easy to get to... More

Hi schmitty, Thanks for taking our Lighthouse Cruise while you were in town! Glad to hear you had an easy time finding us and getting to us. "Parking" and "easy" aren't used in the same sentence too often around here, especially in our busy summer months but perhaps because of being here later in the season you had more luck.... More

We took the Lighthouse lovers tour one afternoon. Was well worth it. Nice and relaxing and beautiful scenery. You travel through Casco Bay, you see areas of nice Mansions along the water. See 3 light houses (ending up at Portland Head). Depending on the ocean determines how closed to Portland head you get. From there you travel around several islands.... More

Hi Craig, We're glad to hear you enjoyed the Lighthouse Cruise and great description of what is typically seen on a tour, well except for the Bald Eagle; that's a little more lucky though we were on the lookout for that particular eagle this season. You are exactly right that the open ocean as it pertains to our tour, starts... More

Wonderful tour of Portland Harbor, The boat was comfortable with both inside and outside seating. The crew was polite and the guide was knowledgeable. Amazing views of lighthouses and the shoreline, plus history of the area. Nice afternoon trip.

We booked this tour because of the great reviews on trip advisor and were not disappointed! Our driver JJ was very informative and had a wonderful sense of humor at times he had the whole trolley in stitches. Tour was very reasonably priced and gave you a very good overview of this beautiful city.

What a beautiful roast tour. Very informative and saw some beautiful light houses. But the waves crashing up on the rocky cliffs was absolutely beautiful! It got cold on the boat ride in October, but was a nice warm day on land. I got some amazing photos too!

Hi Bellarellla2013, Thanks for joining us on a Lighthouse Cruise and you're correct even on warm days on land it can get quite chilly on the water, so we always do advise dressing in layers and bringing something warm. Glad you could get some great photos to remember your trip and thanks for spending part of your visit to Portland... More

Tour on the Bay View Lady was the highlight of our entire trip to Portland, offering amazing views of lighthouses, forts, sea life, sailboats, and the islands in Casco Bay. Could have spent an entire day idling alongside Great Diamond Island, watching a bald eagle and the fall foliage. Terrific tour guides and worth every penny. Not to be missed.

We like your advice Amanda b! Casco Bay is truly a beautiful area and we love to show off it's many lighthouses, forts, islands and of course the wildlife as well. Our cruise ship stopped here for the day and we came upon this kiosk offering tours on a trolley. The price was reasonable. Our driver/narrator was great. I forget his name, but he was a retired firefighter. He was funny and very interesting. WE stopped at the Cape Elizabeth Lighthouse. That was very interesting. The whole trip was very worthwhile.

Hi gab131, Thanks for deciding to take our Portland City and Lighthouse Tour during your visit to Portland. A chance to see the harbour and learn a bit about the surrounding area and local history (did you know that lobsters were once served to prisoners every day, and they passed a law preventing it!). You could sit or walk around and the 90 minutes passed by rather quickly. Good views but not heaps of OMG pictures!

We had only one full day to see Portland while visiting family and this tour was ideal.
