The Theatre is intimate, with very good acoustics. The seats are deep, and well-spaced; offset from the row in front of you so no one is directly in front of you. This neighborhood theatre is a hidden gem. The theatre is intimate, and the show we saw here recently (Avenue Q) was outstanding.

I've been to Lyric Stage many times before, and in fact, have performed on stage here. The quality of their shows varies tremendously, as one might expect in community theater. I've seen some disappointments and some excellent shows alike. I have been to many shows at the Lyric. The passion and commitment is alive in every performance. The quality of cast and production is first rate. Very professional. One of the best entertainment values in Portland, Maine.

I have been to numerous shows at the lyric theater, and I would recommend it to anyone. While it is not the most beautiful theater known to man, it is one with a professional setting.
