We arrived early with excitement for our city tour of Portland. Our guide Michelle greeted us and said she was finishing up preparing the bikes for the trip. We were pleasantly surprised to find name cards on the bikes and our vehicles were adjusted perfectly and ready to go. Michelle began the tour by asking people to introduce themselves and state what they were looking fir on this trip. Then she outlined safety procedures and provided an overview of our ride. This pattern of stopping periodically and asking questions, sharing safety tips, history lessons on the city and a preview as to where we were cycling was to be her pattern. I really enjoyed her stories about Portland and how she engaged the group by asking a question and sharing fascinating facts and her views as an enthusiastic resident. The story that stands out was the one about the three fires in Portland and how that shaped the city’s architecture. And, Michelle continued to offer additional things to do in Portland throughout the tour. I have been on my cycling tours and Michelle was hands-down one of the best!

We absolutely loved this tour! As regular bikers- this was a perfect mix of leisure and active. Our tour guide Greg was amazing- very friendly and a great guide. He kept a great pace while riding as well as was very informative at each spot we stopped at. Definitely recommend this tour!

Our cruise ship offered a Bike & Hike tour with Summer Feet. We started near the cruise ship Port, cycled to Mackworth Island, and then did an easy hike around the perimeter of the island. Stacia was a great guide... She kept the group together and mixed at a good pace. She was also fun and relaxed and had lots of interesting information about the Bay and the wildlife in the area.

We booked this thru Celebrity Cruises as Small Group: Bike and Hike Portland excursion. This was a really fun way to see Portland. Our group was 14 plus the two guides, Rick and Wendy were awesome. The bikes were ready when we got to the meeting area. They gave us a quick overview of the bikes then let us ride around the parking lot to see if we needed any adjustments.
Once on our way Rick led. He told us where we would go and where we would stop. He kept a good pace for those in the group. It was a good pace. When we stopped Rick and Wendy would give us information on what we were seeing. The sights were rally cool to see.
We made several stops around town to learn more history of Portland. At one point we were going under (then over) Tukey's Bridge. There was a very sharp turn that had to be made. Rick and Wendy let us know well ahead of time. They let us know to go one at a time and to walk the bike if we wanted to, I thought this was a really cool thing to do.
We made our way to Mackworth Island. This is a State Park. Here we parked the bikes and hiked the island. Again seeing awesome scenery and learning more history about Portland and Maine. One funny thing on the island is Governor Baxter's dog memorial. It is a Pet Cemetery. When Rick said we were stopping there I laughed and said "Really, a pet cemetery in Maine". Rick got the joke and said I was one of a very few who even got the reference, which is of course Steven King.
After leaving Mackworth Island we made our way back to the port area the same way we came. The tour was billed as 3 hours, we were about 3 1/2, but the time went by so fast.
Rick and Wendy were awesome tour guides. I will let anybody going here no matter how they get here to look them up and do one of their tours. I is really worth the time and exertion!

Overall, the tour was very good and Brooke was an excellent guide. Two things to bring up… first is that all the booking info and confirmation emails say that there is a van to provide transport for the beginning and end of the ride. This was not provided so it added about 6 miles to the advertised ride length and required trips over a heavily traveled bridge. Second is that this was advertised and booked as a five lighthouse tour but we only went to three. Both of these items were ok with us but they are some things to be aware of so make sure you know what you’re getting if any of these concern you. The lobster roll was absolutely delicious!

It was a brisk and beautiful day for a bike ride around Portland, Maine to see lighthouses. The Fall leaves looked brilliant and Aaron, our intelligent tour guide, safely led us on a tranquille trip. It was a great way to learn about Portland while taking in the view at an un-rushed pace. Aaron Henry was super kind. We also had the best Lobster Rolls for lunch (I had the wasabi roll and it was phenomenal!)

I didn’t do any of the tours but they were really helpful with the bike rental! Pointed things out on the map and just generally really nice. I headed out to Back Cove via the gravel trail. There were a couple places where I had to backtrack to get back on the trail but overall it was a great 15 mile round trip ride. Check out the breweries along the way! The earlier in the day you get your bike the better

We did not do a guided tour but were able to rent a couple of bikes. The staff were extremely helpful in putting together a course for us to ride with suggested stops along the way. It was a wonderful 10 mile ride. Highly recommend you all and look forward to doing a proper tour on our next visit.

Recently celebrated my birthday with a first time visit to Maine. I did the 5 hour Lighthouse tour with Dan, our tour guide. He was fabulous! Leisurely ~15 mile informative and scenic tour around Portland and Casco Bay. I also appreciated his recommendations for visiting some local restaurants. The included lunch with the Lobster Roll?? OMG, it was delicious! I even made a separate trip back! An awesome way to explore the area and burn off some lobster roll calories! I highly recommending this tour and this company to anyone visiting the area.

Just writing to follow up on the major disappointment experienced yesterday. After not being able to book the trip online, Norman (the owner) and I spoke on the phone around 8/23 to confirm that I would be on the Saturday 8/30 bike trip with my girlfriend for her birthday. I asked for a confirmation email which was never sent. When I never got the email I wrote in to the site reminding you of my email address, still, no confirmation. Then I called on my way up to maine, several times, with no answer, and and no option to leave a voicemail. Then I was finally able to pay for the trip by selecting the date on the online calendar, a date that a week ago, was not listed. Once we finally paid we got a confirmation email. We showed up to the Ocean Gateway and were told that there were no bikes for us and that Norman and had made an error. The young lady helping us was nice, but that was about the only positive aspect of this terrible customer service experience. We chose one way to spend our one day in portland, to bike with summer feet cycling, and it turned out to be a terrible decision. So many errors in this process, no one manning the phones, the unlisted date we wanted to bike online, then being able to finally book it without any bikes attached to our order. What a shame.
