This is definitely something to do on a beautiful day. Opportunity to see over a mile of Portland along the waterfront, all the while trying out local favorites. I tried pumpkin ice cream for the first time. Delicious! They ran out of wild blueberry.

The tour would be better if it was longer with more stops. The stop at the spice store for macaroni and cheese should be eliminated. It was not a restaurant and had insufficient seating. The macaroni and cheese was dried out. The other stops were excellent.

Thanks for joining us on the Lobster Lunch Crawl! We've found through trial and error that the two-hour tour with four stops has been sufficiently filling both in mind and body for the majority of our guests. We always appreciate feedback and appreciate you sharing your tour experience with us! More

I guess I did not read the despcription of this tour in Portland very well - Instead of walking we went out on a commercial lobster boat and learned how to catch lobsters - and had a class in lobster 101. It was a lot of fun. The guide was friendly and informative. It was a beautiful day which didn't... More

In addition to several walking tours, we also partner with two of the local charter companies that offer excursions in the Casco Bay - the tour you may have been looking for that's more lobster oriented and a land-based tour is the Lobster Lunch Crawl? Happy to hear you had a great time nonetheless getting a hands-on experience on the... More

My husband and I were in the Portland area and we decide to take the walking food tour. James was our tour guide and he was outstanding!!! Full of information about Portland..the area, restaurants and the rest. Loved him!! The food we tasted was outstanding...fish chowder, balsamic vinegars, chocolate truffles. I highly recommend this walking food tour

Our second foodie tour was the lobster crawl. Our guide Chris was so informative about where to dine. We visit Portland once a year and love the amazing food available. We visited some new ( to us) places. Loved all the choices, and got some new ideas. We will be doing another foodie tour next year!

Don't really remember much of this. Was on a cruise. Did have a good lobster roll. Weather was nice.

We did the tour on a Saturday and had Christina as our guide. Being a local she knew the area well and entertained us with many stories and facts about the area. Her pride and love of the town showed. All the stores and restaurants we went to were excellent, it's hard to pick a favorite, but I think mine... More

My daughters and I do a girls trip every year and always try to do a food tour on the trip. I decided that we would do the Sherpa Tour because it was a small group tour. When we showed up it was just our guide, Pat, and the three of us. Best food tour ever! Pat was awesome and... More

The Sherpa Tour is a great chance to "get off the eaten path" with one of our culinary connoiseurs! Pat is also one of the cooking class instructors for Maine Foodie Tours, so she has that extra special insight into the when, what, where, why and hows of a kitchen. This was a great way to walk around Portland and sample food and learn some history. Our group was smaller than normal but was still a lot of fun. We were so full by the end. The dessert at the last stop wasn't the best. I say they should add a place that has Maine Woopie Pies or something local.... More

This is the Foodie Tour in Portland ME. If you are a real foodie or even a part-time foodie, this tour will be a huge disappointment. Portland is known for their restaurants so I was anticipating visiting at least a couple of great places but we mostly went to stores. We went to ONE restaurant and it was a pub.... More
