We booked this trip with great hope of seeing whales with our three daughters. We made it the highlight of our trip at $220.00. And we saw NADA! Nothing! I totally get that it's not technically anyone's fault, and I guess it's a business...which is why when you are about an hour out to sea, they tell you it's not... More

To preface, I understand that nature can be fickle, and I cant blame the captain of the boat or the staff members for that reason. However, when deciding whether to do the tour we spoke with a young lady at the booth. I asked her what the chances of spotting a whale was, and she told us it was nearly... More

We added this to our trip through New England on our way to Canada and we are so glad we did! The Odyssey captain and crew were professional, knowledgeable and a great asset to our whale watching adventure! The trip is 4 hours but the ride was comfortable and we were able to bring drinks and food with us (no... More

The boat is very comfortable, we saw two whales which made our whole trip. The captain got us close enough that we could hear the whale blowing.

If you're looking for something do to for a day in Portland consider booking an Odyssey Whale watch. Before the trip: I recommend calling ahead to reserve for your party, but you do not pay until you arrive at the Warf. it is $49 a person, and I believe under 13 was $39, don't quote me though. Parking is a... More

We had a great time on our whale-watching excursion--the staff were knowledgeable and friendly, and the boat was comfortable. We had perfect weather, and were lucky enough to find some humpback whales--we got to observe a mother and calf very near the boat for almost an hour! It was wonderful!

I am from Ohio and I took my family of eight to go whale watching. The trip was a four-hour round trip heading out into the Gulf of Maine. We saw beautiful lighthouses old military forts and beautiful houses before we ever reached the Gulf. It took us about 1 hour and 40 minutes before we started seeing whales but... More

Went whale watching on June 22nd and sadly the weather was akin to said film. Only saw 2 whales albeit maybe the same whale on way out and way back! Trip was good despite being projectile vomited on! However best place I have seen whales to date is either P-town Mass. Or else Hermanus SA where you can watch from... More

We went on a windy and chilly day. We had seas of 3-4 feet. The captain was sure handed and kept us afloat without difficulty. We did see one adolescent fin whale. He was so fast and was swimming so erratically that we could not keep with him and our sighting was limited to a couple of quick glimpses of... More

We had a beautiful, sunny day. I was glad I worked pants and took a jacket because it was cold not long after we left the harbor. Bathrooms and ship were clean. The crew was friendly. Snacks were over-priced. We hate it when people shamelessly ask for tips at the end. We did get some nice views of a Finback... More
