We went Oct 4th this year and didn't see any whales. While during the 1st hour a guide did talk about the harbor which was interesting, during the next 3 hours there was nothing except managing the rolling of the boat. Info like, what kind of whales and sea life are there, what is the migration, the history of fishing... More

We knew when we signed up that is was likely the we wouldn't see any whales and that was the case, but we still enjoyed our time. The boat was comfortable and the crew friendly. Because we didn't see any whales, they stamped our ticket and we can have another chance for free.

We saw whales! Odyssey explains at the beginning of the trip that there are no guarantees you will see whales--they aren't Seaworld, but we did see whales--fin backs and minkes. Keep in mind you are in Maine and will not see humpback whales coming completely out of the water like on television. We booked this tour knowing it was the... More

This review will cover not just the deep sea fishing service offered by Odyssey but the customer service as well. First off, the fishing experience was horrible. Not because no one on the boat even got a bite, but because the lack of knowledge it seemed by those in charge. This was a deep sea ground fishing trip. To do... More

I'll start by saying that we didn't see any wildlife, but that's not Odyssey's fault. They don't control nature. if you really want to see wildlife, go to a zoo or an aquarium. It was a nice boat ride, and even though we got a bit wet, we enjoyed it for what it was. The guide was passionate and knowledgeable,... More

Certainly not the fault of the captain or naturalist, but we saw very little of interest on our trip out. We did see two gannets and one harbor seal eating a fish. I knew things were grim when the naturalist or captain pointed out a black-back gull. Luckily, we are from Portland, so it isn't any trouble for us to... More

First we were crammed on this boat barely enough seating...didn't see any whales..a fish or any marine animals ( which I know is not in there control) but you would think that instead of having the passengers sit with no form of entertainment for 4 hrs they could of at least played a song or two...sheez..boring don't waste your money

My wife and I brought our 6 year old granddaughter on the your. We thought it was great. Our give was knowledgeable and added a lot to the tour. The tour was 4 hours, we saw minke whales, harbor seals, gray seals, lots of birds. The water was calm and the day was beautiful. We would definitely go back again.

We did see whales on our visit although I thought we would get a bit closer. I can totally understand that we try to respect the whales natural habitat. There were also a few other things to see but nothing close enough to get a decent picture. Harbor seals- again from a distance. I didn't find it expensive but a... More

We had a nice day even though there was a little cloud cover. We saw a few harbor seals on the way out and back in and some Dolphins cruising out to the bay. We had some crazy bat flying around us for a short period of time that generated some excitement The climax came when we spotted an 85... More
