Allagash Brewing Company is dedicated to crafting the best Belgian-inspired beers in the world. Best known for our flagship beer, Allagash White, we also enjoy aging beer in oak barrels (beginning with the launch of Curieux in 2004) and spontaneously fermented beers (beginning with our traditional Coolship in 2007). Come up and visit us - we'd love to show you around.

I'm a bartender so I was paying a little more attention to the tour than the average person, but this was a great brewery with a fun, informative tour, super friendly and knowledgable staff members, and an efficiently ran company without being intimidating or all business. Highly recommend checking it out and buying some local growlers. Leave the kids at... More

We were looking to do some things locally, instead of jumping in the car and driving a ton of miles and fill somebody else pockets with tourist cash,we decided to check this tour out. We weren't disappointed! You walk in and greeted by a very friendly greeter, who checks your ID,if necessary, and you receive a ID tag to wear for the tour,Which,by... More

You can choose to take a free tour with tasting or just do the free tasting, usually consists of 4 beers. If you want to take the tour, it's best to reserve a spot beforehand because they do fill up. They have a small but nice indoor and outdoor seating area. No scenic views though. Fun short detour while visiting... More

Allagash is probably the most popular company to come out of Maine since most people know of their Allagash White. It’s located technically in Portland, but resides in an office park outside the city; you’ll think you’re lost until you roll right up to it. Allagash offers a free tasting of a flight of four that they choose for you.... More

This is a fun activity to do when in Portland area. It is free and offers something different from the waterfront activities. Tour takes an hr and as others have mentioned you get 4 beer tastings. Prices for the beer " to go" are about the same as when you purchase in grocery store or other local markets. Tour may... More

This brewery offers free flights! They have a really nice little area to sit and taste the beer, and also offer tours for a fee. My partner and I were in the area, and he is a huge craft beer fan; we were directed here by almost everyone we spoke to. The beer is very good and little on the... More

We did not have a car during our visit to Portland, ME and were not sure if we would make it out to the brewery. However, we are SO glad we did! It's a wonderful small brewery that has really invested in itself in smart ways. You get four good sized samples during the tour. You may also choose to... More

My boyfriend is a brewery lover so we always try to check out local breweries when we travel. We stopped in at Allagash and were pleased to find that the brewery offers free flights (3 oz pours of 4 different beers). If you want additional beer you can purchase it at Allagash, but must drink it off sight. The brewery... More
