Allagash Brewing Company is dedicated to crafting the best Belgian-inspired beers in the world. Best known for our flagship beer, Allagash White, we also enjoy aging beer in oak barrels (beginning with the launch of Curieux in 2004) and spontaneously fermented beers (beginning with our traditional Coolship in 2007). Come up and visit us - we'd love to show you around.

We came for the tour and we're treated to four tastings along the way. It seems they have a brew for everyone, from white to a nice dark dubbel. The tour guide was interesting, but needed a microphone. Retail beer was available when we exited. Lots of steps required, not ada friendly.

This tour was educational and fun. This 21 year old brewery has an interesting family history. Included in the tour was beer sampling of four of their brews. The tour lasts about an hour and the guides were friendly and helpful. Of the four samples we preferred Allagash White, their most popular beer. Store available for souvenir and beer purchases.... I have been hearing about microbreweries and wanted to see what it was all about. It turned out to be worth the drive and the hour that was spent on the tour. I had reserved online to be part of a 1 pm tour. Got there a little early and the small bar area was pretty full. While waiting for... More

I love their style of Belgian beer. Tasting room as very cool, hip, stylish, rustic. It felt like a winery tasting room in level of style. Great staff with great attitudes. Excellent selection of apparel to buy. This was my favorite beer tasting room in Maine after stopping at several.

Not our favorite out of the breweries in the area. I am an allagash fan was was not impressed. They only allow one complementary flight but no additional drinking, so you can only hang out for so long before getting bored. We spent $20 on a cab each way to get there as it is at the edge of Portland... More

The tour takes you around the whole brewery which was very informative. The tour is free and so are the many samples.

We reserved our tour early and Ubered up from the cruise ship area getting there about 15 minutes early. It takes about 15 minutes to get there. Their tours were sold out and usually are so we were glad we reserved. We were given our tour pass and stamp and our first tasting of Belgian Ale. We shopped a little... More

My husband and I stopped at Allagash on our overnight stay in Portland. We arrived very early for our 1pm tour on 9/15/16 and Tim at the tasting room bar was very friendly and gave some good advice on local things to do that weren't super touristy. Brewery tour was great and our "tour guide" was awesome. Sorry, can't remember... More

My wife and I took a Saturday morning tour and tasting. We were in town for the day, off a cruise ship. The tour guide Emily was fantastic. She explained the entire beer operation and history of the brewery. She stopped to answer questions and spoke clearly so everyone could understand. We were lucky to stay around after the tour...
