My wife and I attended a concert of organ and brass, featuring the magnificent Kotzchmar Organ. The concert was well attended although not full, we enjoyed the music very much and the following day we got a guided tour through the organ after which I got an opportunity to play it - that was one of the highlights of our... We enjoyed Jeff Foxworthy and Larry the Cable Guy. Parking was easy and close to the Auditorium. There is not a bad seat in the house. The bathroom is on the first floor only.

We attended a John Mellencamp concert there. It is a very nice building. We would have liked the attendants to be a little more friendly but all in all a good experience.

We got tickets to two shows at the Merrill Auditorium the weekend we spent in Portland. It is a beautiful old concert and the two shows and each experience could not have been more different. Our first show was “Straight No Chaser” which was the BEST. The second was “Capital Steps” which was not the best. SNC is an a... More

Great seating, lighting was good, and you could hear the comedians very well. The architecture is beautiful inside. I now get regular emails with updates of new performers to be informed.

We attended this season's Magical Christmas Concert at the Merrill Auditorium. The acoustics were excellent and the sight lines great from many vantage points. The seats were comfortable. The interior has been restored and well cared for. Everyone in our group felt that the Merrill offered a great intimate setting for the concert. The best concert venue in Portland!

We were here to see David Sedaris and was very impressed. The venue is easily accessible, even though it's downtown and they accommodated the book signing well.

I can't say how many hours I've enjoyed experiencing various performances in Merrill Auditorium over the years. From the symphony, opera, rock, musicals, comedy shows, and more, there's always a huge variety of stuff programmed throughout the year. It's a rather comfortable venue, though tall people should probably avoid the first rows of the balconies. There's a good amount of... More
