Whether climbing a mountain, entering a bear's den, role-playing crewmembers on a 40-foot schooner or manning a space shuttle, children will have a blast at this highly interactive museum. Most of the museum is geared to children aged one to 11, but young teens will like the computer lab and the camera exhibits. There's also a play area just for toddlers.

We took my 3 year old and 9 month old. The place was great. Everything was clean and well maintained. We actually spent most of the day here. One thing to note that has nothing to do with the museum beware of the parking lot next to the museum. When we were pulling up to the place we saw parking... More

We visited with our 7 year old grandson. It didn't take him long to work his way through the exhibits, but he seemed to really enjoy himself. Cars, fire trucks, lobster boats, grocery stores, and airplane exhibits allowed the kids to explore and play in a safe, friendly environment.

We brought our 15 month old grand daughter here. While it's primarily focused on older kids she had a blast. Great time pretending to be a fireman-woman, Doctor, shopping and lots more. Each activity had a great display of safe items.

We stopped in Portland on our way home from Prince Edward Island. We decided to stop and do the Children's Museum to give our 3 year old a chance to stretch his legs. Be warned- gift shop at the admissions desk. The exhibits are highly interactive and fun. The staff are constantly tidying things up. We stopped around 1pm on... More

This is our 3rd time here. We've been coming since our 10 year old was 4 (we live in MA so don't get up here often.) I would say the age range for this museum is toddler-9 or so years old. Our 10 year old is developmentally delayed so he still enjoyed the fun of it. I recommend it if... More

My husband took our 3 year old here while my mom and I shopped. He had a great time and couldn't stop talking about eating grasshopper cookies!! 👍

My son is 2 and loves this place. I think it's probably best suited to kids ages 2-7.....older than that might get bored. Its a great space though - highly recommend! T

Great rainy day activity for school age and younger. Multiple floors or hands-on activity for kids to explore. Touch it, squeeze it, crawl through it. Computer activities for kids. Parents can have fun too.

Three story building with activities for kids who like to pretend and imagine. My very active and imaginative 6-year-old wanted to stay all day to play in the pretend fire truck, but my 10-year old was bored quickly. We spent about an hour and a half here. There was a separate play space for kids 2 and under, and an... More

I have an eight year old son that was not impressed by this facility. My poor rating is based on my comparison of this facility to other children's museums we have visited across the country. Perhaps we weren't familiar with everything that was offered, but I really think my son was just too old for what they offered. I thought... More
