Had a blast in the old port. Brought our 14 yo and our small dog. Daughter loves the culture of old port, the crowds, small boutiques, and great restaurants. Dog loves FETCH, and crowds loved her! Nice time by all, very quiet for thanksgiving getaway.

Old port is a very unique place. There are a lot of cute small towns across the country. Some try very hard to be cute others over commercialize. Old port has an extremely high number of shops and restauraunts for its population. It is such a fun place to walk around. Of all the small towns and cool villages in... More

So happy we made Old Port a destination for a quick fall weekend. There is a LOT to do, see, buy, drink and eat. We did our best to get it all in, excellent destination spot.

I've spent many fun nights in the Old Port. Lots of very good restaurants and bars, live music. Feels pretty safe at night. I've spent time there dating back to 1979. If in Pertland, you really should wander around there. Lots of other shops there, as well.

There is something for everything in the Old Port area! There are inexpensive places to eat as well as expensive places. Just do a search and read the reviews

OMG!!! I had not been in about 30 years. ... It is perfect walking city. Walk up the hill to some of the cultural spots and hip local spots. Along the bay is just hands down a blast. Enjoyed a walk around walking paths along the bay. The light house walk is beautiful and full of sounds of Casco bay.

If you love to walk then you will enjoy the shops and sights in the early coastal town of Old Port (Portland) Maine. With shops of many types and a mixture of Maine culture, Old Port is a definite stop on the agenda if you have even half a day to spare. Souvenirs, quality items, and many handmade crafts are... Just park the car, get your camera and walk. So many great spots for a picture, old buildings, brick walkways, old alleys., or you can find numerous stores and restaurants. We really enjoyed the older area off Commerical street, we found the Harbor Fish market and Sea Bags, I believe they were on custom house wharf. This area you will... More
