Old Port is across the street from the Lighthouse Lover's Cruise. The cruise is very good. The narrator was informative and spoke clearly. You will see lighthouses and a fort, lobster boats and perhaps a seal or two. Old Port is wonderful for shopping. So many stores and also some street vendors. We ate on the deck at Gilbert's Chowder... More

Lots of cute shops for poking about and great restaurants, cafés and bars for refreshments. Spend a day and you're sure to find something great, from handmade toys, local craftsmen & artisans, unique clothing, pet boutiques, culinary emporiums, even some great day spas if pampering is your thing...

I love the old cobblestone streets and buildings, all the people, cars, and action. You can never run out of restaurants and bars to visit or excitement!

Old Port is a fun place for shopping and restaurants. It's a fun downtown filled with blocks and blocks of cute shops, pubs, music, food, etc. A great way to spend a few hours, especially in the late afternoon and evening. There's something for everyone here!

I am partial to the state of Maine, but if you are traveling through too enif the other great places in Maine, and are in need of some great restaurants or some shopping, this is the place. Breweries, seafood, artisan shops- it's all there. It is a small area so walking is a must, but definitely worth it.

We stay in the Old Port several times per year. There are always concerts or events going on, and pretty much everything is within walking distance. We love that there are so many different choices for dining and shopping in such a small area. Many of the side streets are cobblestones, which makes it feel historic. Makes it super easy... More

Old port is a great place to visit while in Portland Maine. You can see most of this area within a day's time. Not very big, but big enough to peak your curiosity. Lots of places to sit and people watch. Easy walking. Lots of people walking their dogs.

Walked around Old Port one afternoon. Weather amazing. Lots to see. Yes it's touristy but stop into a few spots for a drink and enjoy the sights, history and cobblestones.
