For $30, you get about three hours out on the water heading toward an island where puffins breed. First of all, find out if it's puffin season and it was for us, as it was August. We've wanted to see puffins on more than a T-shirt for quite a while, so we were happy to get tickets for this cruise.... More

The crew was great. Frankly the best part of the trip for my group of three was watching them pull up their lobster pots and hearing about the laws etcetera of lobstering in Maine. It is a long ride out to see the Puffins and they ended up being a blip in your binoculars. Tour was a bit long and... More

We have always wanted to see Monhegan and this summer we did it! The trips both ways were on time and pleasant. The rain held off and we even saw a few seals. The captain was pleasant and avoided the non stop jabber of some. We were very satisfied and would recommend them.

Make an early reservation as this is popular. Very well organized, with very friendly staff. We did the day trip to Monhegan on a very hot day so the ride was comfortable. The captain points out interests along the way - sea life, architecture, history, etc.

Wanted to see the Puffins so we were recommended this tour from Port Clyde on the Lady B. It left at 11:30am for 3 hours. $30 was well worth it as we stopped and were shown how they check their lobster traps and got to hold the lobster. Saw dozens of Puffins in water as well as in flight. The... More

Took a lighthouse cruise out of Port Clyde. Saw four lighthouses on route, which were beautiful and expected. I didn't expect to learn so much about lobstering, history and seafaring. Very enjoyable.

We took a three hour tour from Port Clyde to and back from a small island where puffins breed in the summer. During the ride we were entertained to see lobsters being harvested and with stories of the Revolutionary war and the folks who first came to this Island area as well as those who currently live here. Lots of... More

We recently traveled on the Monhegan Boat Line out of Port Clyde, Maine to Monhegan Island. We took the early run at 7 AM, which is aboard the Laura B, an old US Army T-57 that served in WWII. The boat is 65 feet long, and is well maintained. The Captain and Crew are friendly and helpful with answering any... More

Great trip and beautiful scenery. Went on Puffin cruise. Cap't pulled lobster traps and let guest handle/pose with lobsters. Cruised by Andrew Wyeth's private island, very neat. Saw lots of puffins at Egg island, but at a distance. Bring a long lens if you want photos, my 140mm didn't cut it. Maybe best part of the trip was the grizzly... More

We took the 2.5 hour Puffin Cruise and couldn't believe all the experiences! Lighthouses are seen best from the water and we got great photos. Watching the crew pull lobster traps and Pete's explanations added to the whole trip! We saw eagles, osprey, puffins, cormorants and many more that I had not seen in the wild. A dolphin and lots...
