The boat was a fun ride past smaller islands over to Mohegan Island. The boat was comfortable, clean (even the heads), ran on time and the crew was friendly and helpful.

I was expecting a large commercial ferry but was surprised to travel to Monhegan on a beautiful wooden boat. It was charming and authentic! The crew pointed out nesting Ospreys and seals on the rocks. We even idled for a bit to view a sunfish....More

Monhegan Boat is a great company with friendly staff and crew. The captain gives some highlights on the trip to and from the island. They run on time and they allow pets on the ride too.

Sorry for the late reply--- we see the puffins late May through mid August. Rarely do you see them on the trip to Monhegan- the puffin/ nature cruise takes you around a seabird island, Eastern Egg Rock where they nest.

They do sometimes sell out- we recommend reservations- if we have space we welcome walk-ons but we can't guarantee space if you do not reserve.
