We'll likely return in the off season but don't think we'd go in July - August again unless we try for one of the oceanfront sites. Pros: nice sandy... More

Hermit Island has some nice campsites. My wife and I have camped their many times over the years. I couldn't give a good review because of the shower conditions and the overall upkeep is very minimal.

The sites are nice. Not all have ocean views but never the less it is truly a beautiful place. The kelp shed can be a welcome respite if it rains.

A Nice place where I enjoy to go for some time now for Sea kayaking. The camp offer some nice sites close to the water. There are also trail if you prefer walking along the shore.

Cant use credit/debit cards. Website is useless for making reservations. So you try to call and all you get is the busy signal for 2 hours!! Either get more phone lines or catch up with the times so people can make reservations on your website.

My husband and I take a birthday weekend trip every year. We wanted something nearby & we enjoy camping so we looked online at the best Maine camping locations and found this @ the top of the list, it was about 2.5 hours away. When I called to get a camp site they were all booked, so I had to... More

We have camped here every year. We have my mom, sister, niece, my two children and this year my three step sons joined us. It is our favorite place, we look forward to our trip all year. Yes there are misquitos and skunks but you're camping in Maine! The ocean, beaches and views are well worth it. My daughter and... More

What a great experience...borrowed a friends pop up camper, pulled up on a ledge that overlooked the ocean, was foggy and water was freezing but just beautiful and peaceful. The camp store had all the goodies plus fresh scallops and lobster! This was 27 yrs ago but seems like yesterday!

I camped here about 50 years ago with my family. I had to return. The campground has many restrictions. I can see why, because they probably don't want the campground to become a party place. However, it would been nice if our local friends could join us for a few hours. The campsite was ok as well as the bathrooms.... More
