What a gorgeous place to have a campground. Very rustic and natural. Amazing views everywhere. Can't wait to come back. Wandered around the trails and beaches for hours. Even beautiful on a misty, Irish afternoon. So wonderfully quiet and dark at night! 2 notes: lots of mosquitoes, and there was a skunk bumbling around near our campsite.

Scenic, extremely private with camp sites set aside by natural topography. Ocean beaches on property, camp sites on the water. Near famous Popham Beach. Close by to beautiful mid coast Maine.

This is a great beach to take friends and family. There are always a lot of shells to see and find and if you're lucky, you might find a sand dollar. They have a snack shack which is great for the kids and the facilities are clean. Its a nice beach, not too big, but just perfect to spend the... More

Stayed for three nights with three children in the third week of August. Used to visit Hermit Island Campground when I was a kid and have fond memories. My recent stay was not a disappointment. The campground does not allow hard top campers so we stayed in a tent. We had trouble with our air mattress and employees were very... More

Wecame here to go swimming. Nice beach and only $8 for a vehicle. Fair price for a family to swim. They could however comb their beach for seaweed. Though it was still a nice place to swim.

I loved it. It was my first time camping and it went great - that is up until the small microburst hit and knocked out the power. I was heading out anyway. The sites are clean, the bathrooms and showers are clean, the campers are respectful and it's quite quiet. The beaches are phenomenal and I like the rules- it... More

If you can reserve an oceanfront site this campground cannot be matched. But there are only a dozen or so - and you reserve about 6 months in advance...so not likely. We'll likely return in the off season but don't think we'd go in July - August again unless we try for one of the oceanfront sites. Pros: nice sandy... More

Hermit Island has some nice campsites. My wife and I have camped their many times over the years. I couldn't give a good review because of the shower conditions and the overall upkeep is very minimal.

The sites are nice. Not all have ocean views but never the less it is truly a beautiful place. The kelp shed can be a welcome respite if it rains.

A Nice place where I enjoy to go for some time now for Sea kayaking. The camp offer some nice sites close to the water. There are also trail if you prefer walking along the shore.
