Nice tour with Jo

It is a great way to learn about the Island and get the lay of the land. Jo was very knowledgeable of the history of the island and Portland - it was a good time.

Took the 10:15 ferry to Peaks Island ferry from Portland, and met our guide Fred just off the ferry dock. The golf cart tour was great. Knowing not much about the island, spending the time on the tour was a great way to learn details from a local island resident who was proud to talk about his home. Plenty of... More

Took a vacation day off and decided to go to Peaks Island. All that walking is not my thing anymore so we decided to do a golf cart tour. Marisa was a great tour guide and represented her island home very well. Very receptive to stopping on request for pictures and even offered a potty break at the islands one... More

John Kelso was our guide for the tour. John was very knowledgeable about the island and its history. He moved to the island 40+ years ago. He explained the history of the island and the many sites we saw. I think he knew all the residents of the island because as we drove around he was always saying hi to... More

Our tour guide was precious. His name escapes me now, retired school teacher. Very knowledgeable and funny. Visited mid-October. Slow season. So he really took his time with us and even took us to use the libraries facilities after our tour was over. Peak Island was adorable

I brought a group of 14 ladies to Peaks Island for the golf cart trip of the island. Each one had an absolutely wonderful time -- and each of the three guides received positive recommendations. The day was beautiful! The carts met us at the top of the hill and gave us a great tour of beautiful sites and information... More

Our guide, Valerie Simoneau was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable of the Island's history! We had a fabulous afternoon with her as she showed us the many interesting and beautiful places on the Island. Val, thank you so much! Anne and Tom

Our tour guide was Kim Macissac, who we later found out was also a Peaks Island museum director, has done masters-level research about Peaks Island history, and is a published author of a book about Casco Bay islands history. A born and bred Peaks Islander, Kim was down to earth and had that remarkable quality for a tour guide of... More

To me the most exciting part of this tour was the boat ride to the island. Once we got to the island there was very little to see in my opinion. There are homes all along the shoreline and it was difficult to see beyond them. I was expecting more views from the island.

My wife and I did the 75 minute narrated golf cart tour of the island. Kim was our narrator and do an outstanding job. Being a long time local resident, she was very knowledgeable and informative guide. You are able to rent golf carts yourself but since we were only looking to spend a few hours on the island, this...
