Very nostalgic and accurate of the Old Maine that we native Maineacs love! Very well designed and exhibited authentic and tasteful presentation of woods camps, fishing and hunting memorabilia and authentic tools and watercraft. A true treasure--don't miss it!!!

This museum is so worth the time to visit. A wealth of knowledge of the area. We will be members soon as we plan to visit again and again. We have been twice so far this summer. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They often have book signings like Maine author Paul Dorian and artists like wildlife artist Terri Mason.... More

For lovers of this beautiful lake region of Maine, this is a wonderful museum. A labor of love for its founders, it tells the story of the fishing and hunting history of the Rangeley region. From the once great fishing camps to the fine rod makers and fly tiers, it's all there.

The tour of the museum was incredibly informative and interesting, even for teenagers! The staff were very knowledgeable and couldn't have been nicer! It was overall one of the highlights of our vacation, and I would strongly recommend it to people of any age.

This museum is beyond excellent. The displays are well thought out with lots of information. I liked learning about the Paleo-Americans who would come through the area to hunt caribou 12,000 years ago. And I especially appreciated all the women who are highlighted.
