This beach can be very very busy. I've been here multiple times, its best in the evening with less people, better for couples at this time. But if you want to keep your kids busy the amusement park will help!

We go to Old Orchard Beach several times a year. I love coming here. Its easier when we go for several days in a row but we have been doing day trips. Nice atmosphere and clean beach.

Nice place to take family- beach is long and beautiful - lots of room even on busy days. Shops and food stands are great! Lots of fun

Love the OOB, so fun, clean and great atmosphere for whatever you'd like. Quiet or noisy. Trash is picked up, clean beach. Good mix with the crowd whenever I have been there visiting. Seagulls here are intense! Watch your food when walking back to your...More

We stayed at Wid Acres campground and it was just a short walk to old orchard beach. If you looked to the left you can see the pier and the amusement park. It would probably be a 10 minute walk. On Thursday night you can...More

OOB is always a wonderful, fun place to be. I grew up coming to this beach and still enjoy the sights, sounds, and surf! It had been a few years since I came back and wonder now what took me so long!

This is more of an old timely place than some of our beach areas around Md and Nj. Especially in the evening. Area is clean. Fun rides and games. Recommend for families. We have 17, 16, and 10 along with grandma. Water is cold.

Amusement park has that old time look. Rides and games are a bit expensive but worth the fun. Close to most of the hotels on Western Ave.

Beach is clean and beautiful, despite the water being a bit chilly! The shops around are great, and the restaurants in the area are amazing as well. Definitely a must see!

Yes, you may before 10AM and after 5PM. 10-5 are the busy times on the beach so there are way too many people to make it enjoyable for either you or the pup. You'll need a leash for the pup. There's also the Eastern Trail... More

Usually the water temp is mid-upper 60's by end of July. It's upper 40's at end of May. Tops out in the low 70's by end of August. It's never truly warm. Maybe 73F if it's been a hot summer. It's never truly warm.

There are quite a few right on the beach and directly across the street (30 steps). It really depends on how much you want to spend and what you want. I booked the Copley LaReine Motel this year. It has fantastic views... More
