Palace Playland is fun just too expensive the tickets for the rides are outrageously priced. Food prices are fair.

Lots of various games for all ages. A great place for the entire family. Right at the beginning of Old Orchard Street near the beach, pier and rides. Easy walk to stores and food places.

We went here because my wife had gone here in the early 60's. Much has changed since then but the amusement park is still there. Family fun!

Clean, attendants kind, well dressed and friendly. Parking an issue and quite pricey. Best deal is to buy a day pass. I am not a fan of the games but kids seem to enjoy them. Great variety of rides for all ages.

The kids had a blast here, lots of different rides for them to go on. Especially cool once the sun was down with all of the lights.

We loved Palace Playland. I was a bit worried when we waited over a half hour in line to buy wristbands but once we started on the rides there was never a line to wait in. Even if it was only my son and I...More

This was a fun place for young and old. Had plenty of "thrill" rides for the older folks but I thought it was also great for the little ones. Lots of fun things for them to do. As expected it can be costly with more...More

It was a fun park to visit, and fortunately, not very crowded. The boys were able to go tides multiple times and had fun, even in the rain! I suggest taking a break and going to get something to eat around the area, and coming...More

While a little costly, everyone had a great time here. There are several rides for adults and children. Also there's an arcade area and games of chance. If you spend all day it's worth it for an unlimited ticket as not to many rides will...More

Many motels have discount packages. Pick up a copy of OOB travel guide at the information office at the Amtrak station.

Palace Playland Tickets (1 Replies)
Hello - We plan to go to Palace Playland this weekend. It is myself, my husband, my 2 year old and baby. The two year old is the only one that will be able to go on rides. Are we able to buy a ticket just for him or do my husband and I both also have to buy tickets? Thank you!

I think I just answered my own question! I didn't realize that you can skip the day passes and buy tickets for each ride instead.

Have been lurking for a while on TA. Thanks to all the locals on here and other Maine sites, I have been able to plan the trip without any problems. (only wishing we had more time in Maine!) We are flying in to NH and then driving to VT to stay w/ my brother a couple days then over to Agusta, ME area to meet the in-laws, then drive down the coast to stay in Wells for 3 days. (Had orginally booked in OOB but found Wells for way less than half the price) First question - where to stop on...More

Are you going to be in Augusta a day or two? If so you can visit the Belgrade lakes area. If not, Sebago Lakes area would be a nice day trip from Wells. Gotta visit a Maine lake! If it's the Wiscasset Railway you're thinking about it's kinda of a bust. Real short and not worth the trip imo. Maybe for a 4 year old. foxslobster.com is a good place not far from Wells. On the drive from Augusta to Wells, maybe harraseeket lunch in Freeport. Cape Eliz is a bit out of the way for that...More
