I am not reviewing the restaurant. I am reviewing the concert venue upstairs. On Sunday, Jun 27, 2021 I made two reservations for the Jonathan Edwards concert on July 28, 2021. I reserved seating at the ONLY handicapped table that was listed on their seating plan. It showed as being in the center of the venue with space around it.
I usually use a hoveround wheelchair to go to events. As it was, I was unable to bring my wheelchair so I had a rollator walker with a seat. Upon entering the venue, there was no room in the aisles to walk to my assigned seating. Much to my surprise, our table number had been moved over to the wall where the bar was located. My seating was directly in front of the self serve coffee pots. As people were going to the bar and to get coffee, my rollator was bumped, kicked, and tripped over. We were jammed up against a wall and a potted plant... There would have been NO space for my wheelchair and there was little space for my walker. I was unable to get to the bar to receive the dessert/coffee that I paid for with my ticket. I also was unable to get to the restrooms because the aisles were too narrow and there were people standing in the aisles and people had brought in chairs to sit in the aisles. I had to wait until the venue had emptied out before I could leave after the concert. Most of the people around us were worried about occupancy violations. I was more worried that if there was an emergency, I would never be able to get out.

By the way, Jonathan Edwards performance was stellar, as usual. No complaints there.

Probably one of the best dining experiences my wife and I have had in a long time. Although they had outside dining , inside was as per guidelines..Considering we ordered already 2 apps & soup , what the heck add " fried scallops " too.
Dinners was Steak Diane which was although not how I remembered it , it was fantastic. But as always , dessert n coffee a must to finish this dinner. Expensive but at least you can say it was great..

I ate at Jonathan's a few years ago and came back recently for another dinner. The service was average and the food was just okay. Nothing special and a bit pricey. There are better options in town.

My husband and I were staying at Meadowmere for the weekend and rather than go further we decided to try Jonathan's and we were not disappointed. To start I ordered an Elderberry Martini a Jonathan's speciality. I don't like sweet drinks and this was not overly sweet and wasn't too tart...perfect. My husband was happy there were several choices of craft beers. The room was light in the early evening looking out at seasonal flowers and a statue in a garden. Tables were all set and cobalt blue water glasses offset the white linens.
My husband ordered Duck with some concern because it's often overdone and disappointing but I had read a review that raved about it and when it came and was everything he wanted in a Duck Entree he was impressed. I ordered Swordfish Francaise and it was unique, flavorful and delicious. The menu has so many choice I love it was a hard choice but I'm very glad I had this. Several other tables had Lobster and I must admit they looked better than usual. I love Crab and that was something they did not have but lots of other choices. Everything on our plates was cooked perfectly and the service personnel was excellent also. For dessert we ordered tiramisu and it was one of the best I have ever had.

We bought the dinner and show ticket. With this we received $25 off of dinner, a ticket to teh show (the wonderful Suzy Bogguss) and a free dessert and coffee at the performance. Dinner is downstairs and the performances happens upstairs in a small venue. A terrific place for being up close and personal no matter your seats/table. Dinner was vey good and well Suzy was terrific!

We were in town with family for a few days and they had visited Jonathan's many years prior and were STILL raving about the coffee cinnamon ice cream they'd had for dessert. We were thrilled to find it still on the menu, and after an outstanding dinner, we were able to top it off with this amazing dessert !! One of the things that was really lovely, was that there was live entertainment in the bar, and we were still able to hold a conversation around a table of 6. Thank you to Jonathans for a lovely night !

Thanks for the feedback, the homemade ice cream has been on the menu for many years, it's one of our favorites! Glad you enjoyed the jazz duo, most of the year you can find live Jazz at Jonathan's on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. Hope to see you soon!

Made a reservation with upgraded tickets to see Vickie Monroe. Reservation for 6:15, got there 5:45, they happily sat us early, this was were good customer service stopped! With the upgraded tickets we got a $25 credit for our meal and dessert with coffee or cocktails upstairs prior to the 8pm start of the event. Got seated for a table of seven, when the waiter Clyde came to take the order I wanted to let him know at the start the checks would be separate and his response to me was “we will play it by ear”, excuse me I was trying to help you as in the past it has always been more inconvenient for wait staff to find out at the end. Ordered the filet mignon medium well, it came out well done didn’t complain because it was tender, this was a $39 order. Once the food and drinks were delivered he came by once to check on drinks and when we asked for salt and pepper he brought us a dish so we had to pinch the spice to add to our food (table next to us were brought salt & pepper shakers). Received the checks and gratitude was added already 18% to each individual check ( didn’t realize our party of seven hit the limit for automatic gratitude) then after he took our payment to process we waiting 50 minutes, never once were we checked on again, water cups empty. We now we’re pushing 7:45, event started at 8 and remember that we were suppose to have cocktails or dessert prior. We got the manager to express our concern, his response “sorry you won’t be coming back here”. WOW, never have I had such terrible experience with management and staff and I’ve eaten at many establishments all over this country and several other countries. Finally we go upstairs and the waiter serving dessert had attitude with us about arriving late stated “the bar is closing shortly”, ok not our fault and then we were left without a choice of which dessert we could choose from since now we were the last ones to be served.
The food was good I’ll give them that but with that type of service they should be ashamed. They need to be educated on how to do their jobs as wait staff and as a manager, what ever happened to customer service.
Before writing this review I went on to look at other reviews and sadly my waiter Clyde was mentioned already for the POOR service he provides and what’s even worse he ended up with a tip of $60ish from our table and really didn’t deserve a tip of 10%.

Great reviews but I didn’t get it. The decor and music are “geriatric”. Food just not worth what we invested monetarily. Calamari greasy. Papperdelle with mushrooms- light on the mushrooms. The elderberry martini was yummy but everything else- meh.

A wonderful venue for listening to songs from our youth
Our first time here was a wonderful surprise
There isn’t a bad seat to be had- just very crowded
Our tickets included dessert and I was disappointed that there were only two choices
Not very special and not comparable to the dinner I had downstairs
But a nice evening nonetheless

We ate here twice in two days. The first time was because the “pub” associated with our hotel didn’t seem to want to wait on us. What a pleasant surprise to find that Jonathan’s was able to seat us at a table near the lounge without a reservation on a very busy Saturday night. The live jazz was wonderful and our server was excellent. We had the eggplant and chicken piccata, wine and chocolate mousse. The serving size was generous and the food tasted wonderful. The chocolate mousse was worth the calories.

The following night we had reservations as we were attending the show upstairs that evening. We were able to request our server from the evening before, who remembered our wine preference, and we were seated right by a window. We had swordfish and steak. Both entrees were prepared very well, and again, generously sized.

Service both nights was attentive without being intrusive. We will most definitely return!
