We were told while staying in Ogunquit to get tickets for the playhouse. So happy someone told us about it and we purchased tickets for Grumpy Old Men for opening night. We didn’t know what to expect since this was our first time visiting the...More
Recently attended American In Paris and itcwas as advertised. Great performance by the cast, outstanding sound for Gershwin's music, singing and dancing right on the mark. All one would expect from a Broadway show presented in an intimate and laidback summer venue. This theater is...More
Every year we look forward to spending time in Maine. We have always enjoyed going to the Ogunquit Playhouse. The choice of seasonal plays and performances is always a guarantee of a fun filled night on the town.
Every summer we take the grandchildren here to see a children's theater performance, and it has never disappointed. This year we saw "Tom Sawyer" which was outstanding. The tickets are very reasonably priced. If you think "children's theater" might mean something like a high school...More
If you’ve never been to a performance here, be sure to add it to your list of things to do. Each and every year has productions that are tailored just for the playhouse - nothing retrofitted. Outstanding performers and music. A real gem and historic...More
Entertaining show in a small theater setting. Would definitely consider seeing another show here and recommend choosing a show you know you will like. The other perk is the adult beverages that can be purchased on site and enjoyed during the show.
We enjoyed this play very much. Singing and dancing was broadway quality. Great costumes and sound quality. Reasonably priced drinks and snacks and everything was easily accessible. No steps in the entire place.
My husband and I saw "An American in Paris" last Saturday night at the Ogunquit Playhouse. The show was unbelievable - wonderful dancing, music and set. The Playhouse is a bit dated, which makes it a great place to see a performance. The theater is...More
First time to this wonderful historic theatre - saw a matinee performance of “An American in Paris”, a fabulous Broadway-caliber production not to be missed. Rather small seats make for cozy seating in a well air conditioned space with great acoustics. Look forward to attending...More
