This Inn is an unexpected delight that my daughter and I found while driving the coast of Maine. The front desk person, Marty, was a great help with things to do and see. The room was worth way more than we paid for it. A great Inn! Will come back if I am ever on this coast again.

Well situated, walking distance to town and the beach. Mark and Marty were very helpful with theater tickets and dining recommendations. Rooms spacious, simple and clean. Two pools (one adults only). Good value. Staff well mannered and accommodating. Tasty complimentary continental breakfast.

I surprised my partner with an "Admirals Inn Special" massage package. QI Wellness' brochure listed a phone number to call as reservations were required. On Saturday morning I called the number and it was a voice mail telling me that they would return my call. I made the initial call during breakfast (approx 8:00 - 8:30). We were only going to be in town until Sunday mmidday so I was eager to see if they had an opening. It wasn't until almost noon when they returned my call. I asked about any openings, and we set a time for Sunday at 11:00. The brochure stated that I would need to provide a credit card to secure the appointment. When I spoke to the lady, she said that she was not where she could take my information and that she would call me back when she could do so. She never called me back at all. As we were staying at the Admirals Inn which is where QI Wellness is located, we tried to go down to their spa to give the card to hold the reservation. There was no one there at that time, no hours listed and we never did see anyone come or go.
The next day, we went to the appointment and they were there. I gave my credit card to one of the owners who would be giving the massage. She said it would cost $125.00 for the 75 minute massage. They only had a manual card machine. I added a $10.00 tip and totalled it to $135.00. She ran the card and I signed it.
When I recieved my next bank statement, there was a charge for $145.00. I checked my receipt and as expected it was for $135.00. As QI is owned and operated by two women, I think it would be easy to review the charge and see how the extra $10.00 was added on without my seeing it. The lady I spoke with seemed somewhat vague about it, and asked if I checked with my bank. I said that I had not because I wanted to start with the QI since they submitted the charge. Finally she said that she would have to go back through their reciepts and see what happened and that she would call me back. Fairly quickly she returned the call saying that the reciept did have a charge of $135.00 on it. I asked her how this could happen and at first her reply was vague and not helpful. Then she said that I should check with my bank and that she would send me a check for the $10.00. She asked if I would take a company check???? I said yes. I was under the impression that she was sending it out within a day, it has been a week,(I live in the same state as QI Spa), and have not recieved the check. I am hopeful that it will come soon.
Overall, the whole operation was unprofessional and seemed very unorganized. Although QI is operating out of the basement of the Admiral's Inn, please note that it is only doing business there and is not part of Admiral's Inn.
Please beware and if you go there, read the reciept and definitley check your statement for any changes to the charges.
The massage did last the 75 minutes, but was only an average massage.
I would not recommend QI Spa to anyone.
