Very small area that is claimed by 9am. It's quite a walk from most hotels and the parking is $30 and then when you get there with your chairs, umbrella, etc., there is no place to sit. If you like sitting on the beach go somewhere else.

Everything here is a great location whether you are right on the beach or have to drive a little way to reach it. Parking is easy to find. Center stores and places to eat are plenty. So many places to choose from. The Playhouse is a great way to spend an evening. Shows are wonderful.

Best kept "secret" in Marginal Way beaches. Use those for wadding, exploring. OGT river is a great "lazy river" experience. Take your own inflatables and large umbrellas or canopies - no natural shade. Park WAY away from beach or you will pay $25 - 30 a day ($5 after 6 pm). Get out of the OGT Main beach for dinner... I've traveled a bit and lived in Los Angeles and this beach beats them all! This is especially great for kids - when the tide is low, it leaves behind hundreds of little tide pools, so each kid can essentially have their own little pool! This is great for parents as the water is shallow but kids feel like they... More

Our travel plans are to visit Ogunquit twice a year. Move at your own pace and see and swim at the best beach in Maine. Then take a boat tour, shop in the many shops , eat at so many location, and then take a nap so you can party all night. WoW !

The beach, the town square and towns people were a delight. We visited for a few days and can't wait to come back soon

See my reviews for Marginal Way, Perkins Cove and Ogunquit Beach for more details. This is a lovely town by the sea, something for everyone from families with small children to those of mature years. We have been coming here for 20 years and use it as our base for day excursions to the Kittery Outlets, Portsmouth, Arundel antiquing and... More

Ogunquit literally means beautiful place by the sea and that is exactly what it is. Don't pass this little New England village by!

We stayed in Ogungiut during the second week in May. Needless to say the water is too cold for swimming, however, it is amazing for walking!

Its so picturesque. Take a canvas and do some artwork. Take off your shoes and put your feet in the water. Don't wait for an invite. Just do it.
