I fell in love with the gardens, both Thuya and Azalea. Also, if you overshoot Thuya, the Asticou dock is a perfect place to catch a few rays and some time alone. It was my favorite hangout.

We were enjoying a lovely drive and saw the gardens and turned around. What a beautiful spot! The autumn colors were amazing. The gardens are well maintained and an inspiring place to sit and enjoy the beauty of nature.

Saw the sign as we were driving by, and decided to stop. What an incredible little garden!! First of all, it's not very little. Lots of little, well-maintained paths lead you from one surprise to another. With the addition of the falls colors, the garden...More

To call this an Azalea Garden is a bit misleading as it really is more like a Japanese Garden, replete with myriad/different types of trees, ponds, and an incredibly beautiful placement of everything that it houses. It is a serene setting that invites quiet exploration...More

We arrived in this area on a misty day and looked for something interesting to do. These gardens are across from the inn where we stayed so we walked over to investigate. They are indeed beautiful, even in mist. Be sure to bring a camera.

From the tourist literature we thought Thuja would be the must-see garden and this one a maybe. For us the reverse was true. Asticou is smaller but more interesting by far. Stop in the parking lot (careful, signage is minimal and hard to spot) just...More

The gardens were recommended by our innkeepers and it was a pleasant delight. We were able to take a relaxing leisurely stroll through beautifully landscaped lawns, ponds, rock sculptures, and a sand garden. It is really an amazing work of art how they've designed the...More

I suspect there will be significant bloom at this time but this is such a delightful garden tat a visit would be worthwhile at any time. When I visited there was little in flower but that didn't reduce the experience though... More
