We decided to do something different on our recent trip through Maine. So we chose zip lining. What a decision. This was my first time doing it and can I tell you that i am also scared of heights.. really scared. The whole experience was great, from the reservation through to walking back out to the car.
Our team of
Chris"legitimately crazy" but he made the trip the perfect person to be leading our group.
Brandon" be careful of the sauce, but thankful he did all the braking
Aj- amazing personality
Flying through the trees, doing things i never would have imagined thanks to Chris, seeing the beauty of the mountains up close.. We had a great group and it definitely didn't feel like 2 hours... safety was never a concern, and I would definitely do it again.

Our family was vacationing in Bethel and we went to Sunday River Resort to check out entertainment and adventure options.
Strongly recommend Sunday River Zipline for an awesome experience zooming through Maine forests! The staff are super friendly and made us all feel at ease - because everybody in our group was zip lining for the first time.
Strongly recommend reservations as the few slots per day get filled up pretty quickly. On the day that we were there, the weather was picture perfect and we were able to get some amazing pictures and videos.

The ziplining crew, Chris, AJ and Branden, where amazing! They worked so well together and allowed everyone in the group to challenge their comfort levels. Loved learning how to do the spider and flip! I would tell everyone to visit this place and try it! Just make sure you call ahead to book a time - they only run at certain times during the day. THANK YOU! ~wonder women

We thought we were in for some excitement zip lining at Sunday river. It turned out to be quite dull. The zip lines were short and not scenic at all. We just zipped through some shrubbery. Nobody- even the kids- were terribly excited about it. At $70 a pop, I expected a lot more bang for my buck 🙁.

This was our first time zip lining and our three guides Chris, Reid and Brandon were OUTSTANDING!! They made the the experience one for the ages! Chris, a US Air Force veteran, was the team leader and his positive and enthusiastic nature made this one of the neatest things I have ever done. I never once felt overwhelmed about going down the zip line at 30 mph because the team made you feel relaxed and unafraid. This is a MUST thing to do at least once in a lifetime.

First time zip lining and our experience could not have been better. The operation was run smoothly and safely. The 3 young men who guided our tour were very safety conscious. They had perfect personalities to make the 2 hour experience fun and enjoyable. I can't say enough about this operation, from reservations through check in and the tour itself. If zip lining is an experience you want to try this is the place to go.

Have wanted to go zip lining for a while and this course was a great place to start. Ticket agent was extremely patient and knowledge. The Zip staff were knowledgable and patience as well. Throughly enjoyable the experience. Cost was reasonable at 15.00 for two trips down. Will visit again.

On a recent trip to Sunday River for a GFWC conference in September, a few friends and I tried the zipline and gondola ride package.
Staff was experienced and made you feel comfortable during the entire zipline process. You could go as many times as you wanted. For a newbee with this activity I was happy to try this.
Gondola ride was great - we sat in an open chair lift to the top and the closed car on the way down.
Would recommend this activity.

This was a “get out of your comfort zone” activity for 4 sisters on a reunion trip. Two were extremely unsure of trying it, one was worried about safety after reading about a fatal accident in a Central American country, and one was afraid of heights and miserable at the thought of doing this. But she has always been game, so we went on Sunday River’s zipline tour after reading about its unique features, and the safety. Perry, Michael, and Naomi were the best! They followed their protocol strictly, putting our safety first, our comfort next, and making sure we were engaged and having fun. By the time we had completed the 6 ziplines in the woods (traversing a ravine with a running creek... little waterfalls) the terrified sister was relaxed and wishing for #7, 8, and 9. We ended with a short walk to the twin ziplines to do a return zip back to the lodge, but thunder cut that plan short. Brief walking on a trail, some stepping down on steep parts, pretty woods with the creek, fun & supportive people in our group, and great guides made this a fantastic activity that now 3 out of the 4 would do again. (The fourth said it had never been on her bucket list, and now it’s done anyway. But she enjoyed it.) Some of the ziplines were quite high, some short, some longer, not frighteningly fast, but all very scenic and fun.
