I like islands. I've visited and lived on many all over the world. Monhegan is special but maybe overly loved. I did not know exactly what to expect going there to stay for a long weekend visit. Other than I was expecting no motor vehicles....More

I blew out my flip flop and was trying to figure out how my heal was going to continue cruising until I arrived home, but the kindness and determination of strangers helped me. Love Monhegan, the water was great.

This charming small island is a working artists' colony as well as a good place for hikes. In one day you can visit all the sights and take a hike or two. Better yet, stay over and view the sunrise and sunset. Three ferry services...More

Monhegan retains the charm and remoteness of the way a small fishing village use to be. However, what was disturbing was allowing very loud music and partying at the Monhegan House well into the night. This was not the Monhegan experience most visitors ( and...More

How many ferries a day are there from Port Clyde to Monhegan and what are the times?

Answer
Response from Lindsay G |
There are three ferries a day from Port Clyde during tourist season. 7, 10:30, and 3pm. After that it drops to only the 10:30 boat and then to once a week I think.
