The parking lot was well plowed & a short walk onto the ice with the kids with all the fishing gear. The kids we enthralled with being there & doing everything themselves. An eagle soared around the pond, crows everywhere, & the trout were biting. After 2-3 hrs of fun & fishing, we took our thing to the car, then took advantage of the great sliding down side hills until the kids asked to go home. They were some tired but extremely happy.

Not a good place to go swimming. Leaches. There are picnic tables, grills, and a playground for the kids. In June the bugs are bad. Kids under 16 can fish without a license.

I used to go swimming there when I was younger. There has been a lot of improvements made: new playground equipment, changing rooms and toilets, handicap accessible, a wharf and walking path, picnic area. But now the beach is very much smaller. I am sure there are probably still blood suckers still in the water. There are loons that are usually there.

Good place to go for a picnic. Not good swimming, full of blood suckers. Good for kayaking or canoeing.
