We are a busy working wharf nestled in the community of Milbridge, overlooking the Narrraguagus Bay, located on the bold coast of Maine. Our business prides itself on our families heritage and passing on the traditions of several generations. We sell our daily catch of live Maine lobster and other sea bounty. Come visit us at the wharf for a wicked good downeast experience!

Great little gift shop as well. It was the freshest lobster roll and crab roll and the clam chowder was to die for. The service was fantastic and the place has such a great ambience that it is not to be missed. We had the Lobster Mac and Cheese and it was perfectly creamy and cheesy with lots of lobster. The Lobster Stew was the best we have had with the right ratio of cream, butter, and sherry with generous chunks of lobster. It was so good we had to buy more to take with us. They have a wonderful gift shop and many take home food options. We bought several souvenirs that were reasonably priced and will be a great way to remember our trip. They had quite a few take home options that were delicious as well. Chipman’s delivers an unforgettable dining experience with its stellar seafood, inviting view, a lovely gift shop, and exceptional prices!! One of the best lobster rolls I have ever had and living in Maine for over 25 years, I've had a lot of lobster rolls. A real working lobster Wharf with beautiful views. The restaurant area is fairly new, clean and has a real bathroom. No stinky port-a-potty here. No fried food, but they do take credit cards. Indoor and outdoor seating. Real tables and chairs and picnic tables. About $25 for a lobster roll the came with a bag of chips.

We loved Chipman’s Wharf! The staff are welcoming and attentive, providing prompt service with a smile. We had the Lobster Mac and Cheese and it was perfectly creamy and cheesy with lots of lobster. This place has made me come back to trip advisor after a long absence. I can't even remember my old account so I had to make a new one!
My friends and I recently spent a week at a rental in Milbridge and Chipman's fed us no less than five times (one of them being my birthday lunch!). We went on the first day of our trip and immediately knew we would be back. In addition to the lunch counter, there is a small gift shop and a refrigerator/freezer filled with very local seafood and take-and-bake options made in house. For the lunch counter, my favorite was the hot lobster roll, naturally, but the lobster grilled cheese is also great as well as the lobster mac 'n cheese which one of our group got all three times we went there for lunch. There's also three picnic tables set up at the beach where you can watch the boats come in and out (it is a working wharf after all!) and the upstairs inside has some tables and chairs as well.
We typically made our own dinners on this trip so one night we purchased the haddock, scallop, and lobster bake to bring back to the cabin which was extremely good! And on another we made pasta with a red sauce and smoked scallops and smoked shrimps, all sourced from Chipman's! We did swing by the grocery store to buy veggies or the supplies to make our own bread, but the lunch counter was so good we knew that we could trust them to do the heavy lifting of the main course. There were some stuffed clams in the fridge, too, that I was a little sad to not have had a chance to try. However, we might've supplemented what we did have with some of the local ice cream selection Chipman's carries (I can vouch for the black raspberry, wild maine blueberry, lemon, and maple walnut flavors especially).

My husband and I stopped at the recommendation of a tour guide. If you enjoy shellfish, this would be a great place to eat. The prices were much better than in Bar Harbor and they have seating with great views.
If you have a shellfish allergy and are with a group who wanks to eat it, you don’t have many options. I could find 3. A kids grilled cheese, pb&j (also allergic) and blueberry pie.
They sell fresh fish right next to the counter, but refused to cook a piece when I wanted to buy it to have a nice lunch with my husband. There is clearly a full kitchen where everything else was prepared, they just didn’t want to be bothered to cook a piece of their own product. They offered to heat-up fish chowder. I declined because it’s typically still made with shellfish stock.
Apparently they get enough business and don’t need to worry about those with shellfish allergies. It really put a damper on what started as a fun day!

We were there to find Maine gifts. Was not disappointed. Nice selection and not over priced. Pig pound with onsite cooking and inside and outside seating overlooking the bay. We did not eat but there was steady traffic on a rainy day.

Fantastic seafood! The best lobster we've had and the pricing can't be beat. Worth every penny! We've purchased several lobsters here during a prior visit to the area and plan on many more this trip. If you are in the area get your lobster here.

Chipman’s is the best for your seafood needs. The lobster rolls, crab dip and lobster mac n cheese are positively delish! The store has plenty of mementos or gifts. Love their lobster rope mats. Got some Stone Fox Farm ice creams (🍓🫐) to go and wow…perfect flavoring. They also make a kickin grilled cheese and the fries are good!

We stopped for lunch today at Chipman’s wharf
I’m Millbridge Maine.
They had really good food and a very pleasant and friendly staff.
They have an easy to find location with plenty of parking.
I recommend you give them a try when in the area. I recommend their lobster Mac and cheese!!
