Captain Robertson and his 9 year old son were our guides on a wonderful lobstering run in early September. We had asked him to show us what it was like to reel in the lobster traps and he walked us through the process step by step. He was very nice, helpful, and really wanted us to have a great time.... Capt. Robertson spent his time finding two Humpback Whales off Acadia that we watched for over an hour. He took his time to find them due to not finding the pod he typically watches. Educated us about the sea birds the grey and Harbour seals, etc. this trip was a bucket list item and they made it all worthwhile! A... More

We took the Maine Island Tour and it was wonderful. There were 6 passengers and the captain. He pulled up lobster traps; pointed our wildlife and talked about history related to the islands we saw.

This small group trip, with room for only 6 passengers, is the best way to get close enough to the puffins to observe them without disturbing them. The boat was spotless even though it is a working lobster boat, showing the care that the captain, Jamie, takes not only of his boat but of his passengers as well. Jamie is... More

Jamie was an awesome captain! He was able to share about many of the islands and other sights on the way to see the puffins. He also made a few stops so that we could see some seals. It was fun having his dog onboard, too! I would highly recommend using Robertson Sea Tours & Adventures.

This excursion was very well run and well worth the money. The trip out was well narrated and the guide was quite personable. The scenic little harbor it departs from is a perfect place to sit and wait for the sea worthy adventurers to return.

We spent a magical morning with Captain Robertson on his Whale Watching boat for six people. We looked at a whale watching boat out of Bar Harbor but didn't want to be on such a large boat with so many people. And, in fact, we saw this boat, their decks jammed with people at a much farther distance to the... More

As others have noted, this is a small & intimate tour. This is not the huge catamaran from Bar Harbor - your with a few people (we had 5) in a modified & impeccably clean lobster boat. The tour is great (roughly 3 hours), and you'll likely actually get up close the puffins, which is good because they're tiny! It's... More

Delightful morning cruise out to Petit Manon Light, nesting grounds for all sorts of birds. And puffins! Jamie was a great captain/guide and Maisy was the best mascot ever!

When Captain Jim and grandson Jake came up to the parking lot and introduced themselves and escorted us to their boat, Susan Jane, I had a feeling it was going to be a great day. Our group was five -- the max is six -- so there was a ton of personal attention and absolutely zero crowding during the trip.... More
