I stopped in by chance on a Thursday evening. I sat at the bar and tried their everyday brews. It was a nice selection and they were well built. Each one had good flavor and felt good in my mouth. I tried their small batch series and was impressed with how random these beers were. PB&J Stout was one of... More

Ezra gave me a tour and made great recommendations for the tasting. The tasting room offers a lot to do and a fun place to hang out. Bring friends and enjoy the experience!

The brewery is in a repurposed mill---in fact, there are dozens of old mill-turned-new-businesses in Lewiston. Small tasting/drinking room out front seating maybe a dozen people. Looks like they give afternoon tours--and privately arranged tours. We just stopped in for a look-see and a flight. Okay beer. Looked like a fun place. Might be easier to buy their stuff at... More

This brewery is centrally located in anof to old factory mill which gives it charm. They have a good variety of brews. The staff was informative and friendly

This little gem was worth a stop on the Maine beer trail. It's hands down the best IPA I've had and surprisingly, it was from a can. The Brewers will passionately educate you on why a can is better than a bottle. Aside from being socially responsible, it maintains the beers freshness like..as they put it...a mini keg! Brilliant!

Baxter Brewing - great product, historic location, super moose logo- what's not to like? Let me tell you. Our visit on July 18th may have been on a bad day based on other reviews but it happened nonetheless. The beeristas were indifferent, not engaged and self-consumed. After ordering three flights of beer for our group the beerista explained the abbreviations... More

Step back through history when you enter the wonderfully restored Bates Textile Mill. For over 100 years, the mill was one of Maine's largest employers, and now it's home to new businesses, including Baxter Brewing Company. Seth, the taproom manager, was an excellent host. He poured us a flight of the small batch brews on tap that day (try the... More

Stopped in for a flight (4 beer). We got to try a couple of small batch brews, which was a nice surprise. The atmosphere is laid back, and the staff will happily show you around the brewery. It's a bit out of the way, but worth stopping in.

Fun way to spend an afternoon. Tour takes you into the heart of the brewery. Interesting and informative regarding how beer is made. Ezra clearly has a passion for beer and loves to entertain and share his knowledge. They have production beers and small batch beers on tap. Tried a flight of both. Great way to experience a variety of... More
