- mainstreetmanBourne, Massachusetts948 contributionsExcellent shoe departmentA candy store for your eyes. Lots of colorful clothing for the family. They even had a display of clothes with mushrooms printed on them that I thought was a hoot. The best experience however, was in the men’s shoe department with a young gentleman named Dylan assisting me. I have a Morton’s neuroma so I need a shoe with a wide box. Thought I would be getting some Hoka shoes, but he suggested a new brand called Topo. I’m glad be did. He had lots of patience with me trying on different sizes and other brands and let me make the decision on my own in the end. I also asked him for recommendation for socks, and he suggested Ultra Strong, manufactured by a couple in Vermont. I like the idea of supporting local businesses and was happy to spend the $24.95 on a pair that should last for years according to Dylan. Went further and suggested to wash them inside out so they don’t pill like some other brands. When I went back to my car, I switched into my shoes and as I opened the drivers door, a guy driving by gave me the thumbs up and said “good looking shoes!” It was a great experience.Visited May 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten May 4, 2024
- suzemccollochPittsburgh, Pennsylvania30 contributionsWonderful getaway with familyWonderful stay on the Piscataqua River. Long walks on beautiful beach fronts in Rye, Kittery snd Wells. The restaurants were great, good service, reasonably priced and not overly crowded. And the weather cooperated! Only downside was the very very heavy interstate traffic. Bring your patience!Visited August 2024Traveled with familyWritten August 19, 2024
- COGuest634 contributionsBig tourist and camping storeFirst time here. Lots of free parking. All sorts of tourist items, fishing and camping stuff, etc. Not the real expensive, high-end stuff. But good enough for most fanily type of activities. Got some fun plastic boots. If you forgot an item, they likley have it, so stop by. Entertaining to browse.Visited August 2024Traveled with friendsWritten September 7, 2024

We were in York and returning home, as we have always done before (several years before) stopped at Kittery Trading Post. In the past we have always been impressed, but this time we were very disappointed with the pricing structure. Many of the winter coats were marked down 50-70%, which made them look reasonable, but when compared to the original price, this seemed to be inflated before the discount. We had seen similar costs else where at the discounted price, being the original price, not the discounted price. We are disappointed at we did want to purchase jackets, but walked away without anything. Things are normally more expensive here, but this does not appear right.

Always drive by while traveling, but today we stopped in. Loved it ! Wished I was alone and had more time. My only complaint was it seemed they weren’t checking how many shoppers were in the store at once even though there was a guy checking the door , and they Did Not stop people from entering without a mask on

Outdoor sports enthusiast? This is the place for you. Not ginormous like LLB but it offers a wide variety of outdoor goods from kayaks to fishing equipment and supplies to camping, hiking and biking plus several lines of casual and sports wear. Stalk is friendly, helpful and professional.

When we planned our Popham Beach vacation (at a beach cottage) in Maine, I was wondering where to find postcards, because since 2019 I noticed that it's getting harder and harder to find any, no matter if this is in Hollywood, CA, or in Europe. There are less places that offer them.
So I called the Kittery Maine Welcome Center and they recommended to stop at the Kittery Trading Post.
Not only did we find plenty of beautiful postcards there, we also found 3 Maine calendars for 2022 for our house.
Other than that this is a clothing store comparable to L. L. Bean.

We hadn't been to The Kittery Trading Post in several years and decided to go a few weeks ago. We had such a good time and found all the items we were looking for, a pair of lined Carhartt work pants, The On The Water Angler's Edition for 2020. A great FLYCATCHER brand shirt and favorite wool socks.
The sales people were friendly and very helpful. Some interesting displays to view too.

My husband is a 2nd amendment guy so I found this gem for him next to outlets for me. Such a cool place with a huge selection. Tent sale was amazing. I got a six pack of Haines socks for 4.99, men"s cargo shorts for 12.99, and a Maine sweatshirt can't remember price but it was a good deal.
Friendly staff and the checkout line is Covid set up with plastic sheets.

This was my first time ordering from Kittery Trading Post. Prices were great, shipping was free, and no tax was required. Order arrived quickly. Included with it was a $10 gift card. I will definitely order from Kittery Trading Company again.

I love this place, it has something for everyone! I love just walking through and seeing the items and decor. The employees are nice and their bear paws (cashews with caramel and chocolate) are amazing. We stop in every time we visit Maine and are never disappointed.

We haven’t done much shopping since COVID but we felt like this place was big enough to be safe. It was clean and pretty well stocked as far as having anything we wanted. Be sure to wear your mask.
