This is a demonstration of lobster fishing and information about lobster biology, Maine lobster fisheries, commercial aspects of the fishery and last but not least, some local history. Fun for the whole family. The Rugosa is a real wooden lobster boat out on the Gulf of Maine and in terms of information shared by the tour guide, it is pretty comprehensive material for children under 4 years of age. Very young children can be a distraction to the rest of the guests aboard the boat, enjoying the presentation.

Fantastic! We boarded the boat right from the grounds of the Nonantum resort where we were staying (highly recommend it, too). Our mom uses a walker, and it was no problem at all. Commentary on the lobsters was fascinating, the boat was comfortable, and the...More

Had a great time on the lobster tour. Everyone was very knowledgable. We even got a sneak peak of the Bush Compound which was a nice bonus.

This trip was great! We learned so much about lobsters and their habitats. The kids get to hold the lobsters and really engage with the crew. It’s a great family activity!

Quick hour an half boat ride out into cove. Learned all about lobster anatomy, biz, traps, markers. Got to hold lobsters, band them, toss back in. Lot of fun, well worth it!

It would depend on the weather I guess. The boat is wide and flat but does rock a bit. The captain had motion sickness pressure point wristbands available for those who wanted them.
