What a great opportunity the Bush Family has given the general public to at least get a glimpse of what their home looks like. When the flag is raised, they are in residence and you can definitely tell by all the secret service cars on the property. We thoroughly enjoyed stopping here.

While spending a day along the Maine coast, we had to check out Kennebunkport and see the Bush family compound at Walker's Point. Nice that there is a place to park your car for 15 minutes so you can get out and wander down the path and just enjoy the view as we did on a beautiful sunny afternoon...the deep blue sea, sun shining on the water, and waves crashing! One can understand the draw for Prescott Bush to make this his family's summer residence! Really interesting to see the set up of the Bush homes on the Point (the flag was up!) with the Secret Service protection. Happy to have visited!

This was a sight to see. The house sits out on the water surrounded by the beautiful coastline. The compound is large but not massive. It was exciting to see the cars pulling in and all the secret service. There is is a pull off along the road that lets you get a good view and allows for some good pictures.

Near the end of the drive out Ocean Avenue, one comes to the President Bush Compound at Walker’s Point which was the summer home of President George H. W. and Barbara Bush and served as the Summer White House during his presidency.

The point of land it’s on was reamed for The Walkers, Bush’s maternal great grandfather and grandfather.

The property is set in a neighborhood with large mansions. The main house, although very nice with nine bedrooms, is not the most impressive home in the area.

The pull-off on Ocean Avenue gives a great view of the property. It’s a perfect vantage point for photos.

During my visit, a large white SUV drove up the driveway to the main house. The three of us were looking to see whom got out, but the SUV was so close to the front door that we couldn’t see anyone.

We rate the President Bush Compound at 4.50 and recommend a visit coupled with the drive along Ocean Avenue that leads to other close-by attractions, including Blowing Cave Park, Spouting Rock, Parson’s Way, and “An Anchor to Windward George H.W. Bush” sculpture.

Driving along the ocean, you can come across this monument dedicated for former President of the United States George HW Bush. The view of the residence with the rocks and the ocean is quite spectacular.

Very nice view for George Bush but not so much for the passers-by. Did take a few picture, but not a great pull off area. Loved to have had a better camera for pictures. But I can at least say I saw his compound.

You just have to drive by and view President Bush's Compound. Historical sight and the kids will love telling their friends about the venture when they return home.

It is not often that you can see the residence of 2 former Presidents of the United States of America.

Not far from town and easily viewed from beach locations as well as closer to the house. The flag was not flying, so Bush42 was not in residence. Fun to see and think about secret service cars and a tower that we could see for observing “visitors”. We took plenty of pictures and tried to imagine the view from their house. We enjoyed it and it only takes a few minutes to get out of the car to snap a few pictures. Not busy when we went about 5:00 PM.

It is so simple to drive by the compound and experience living history. Drive by the overlook part take some pictures and then move along in a reasonable time so you are courteous to traffic and others.
