Wonderful view of the Bush Family House with a Pull Over Parking Area
Aug 2021
What a great opportunity the Bush Family has given the general public to at least get a glimpse of what their home looks like. When the flag is raised, they are in residence and you can definitely tell by all the secret service cars on the property. We thoroughly enjoyed stopping here.

Impressive
Aug 2021
You are only able to view it from the road at a great distance. Nonetheless, it was impressive. Interestingly, no one in our group had any cell phone service while we were there.

President’s Summer Residence
Jul 2021 • Family
This was a sight to see. The house sits out on the water surrounded by the beautiful coastline. The compound is large but not massive. It was exciting to see the cars pulling in and all the secret service. There is is a pull off along the road that lets you get a good view and allows for some good pictures.

Nice, Short Drive
Aug 2021
Beautiful short drive that allows you to see the Bush compound. It did not take long to do the drive which leaves right out of Kennebunkport.

Presidential history worth seeing!
Jul 2021
While spending a day along the Maine coast, we had to check out Kennebunkport and see the Bush family compound at Walker's Point. Nice that there is a place to park your car for 15 minutes so you can get out and wander down the path and just enjoy the view as we did on a beautiful sunny afternoon...the deep blue sea, sun shining on the water, and waves crashing! One can understand the draw for Prescott Bush to make this his family's summer residence! Really interesting to see the set up of the Bush homes on the Point (the flag was up!) with the Secret Service protection. Happy to have visited!

Beautiful Setting for the Bush Family
Jun 2021
My husband and I traveled along on the Tour Trolley and were informed of many details of the Bush Family going back many years. Earned a great respect the the Former First Family!

Beautiful day in May
May 2021 • Friends
We did a brief drive-by to see the Bush summer estate. I can see why they love living here. Such a beautiful location surrounded by the ocean. We didn’t see any activity, so don’t know if anyone was there.

Something to see.
Sep 2020
President G.W. was at the compound during our stay according to the locals and the obvious amount of secret service vehicles at the compound. It is a fantastic property and definitely something to see.

SUMMER RETREAT FOR THE BUSH FAMILY
Oct 2020
Near the end of the drive out Ocean Avenue, one comes to the President Bush Compound at Walker’s Point which was the summer home of President George H. W. and Barbara Bush and served as the Summer White House during his presidency.

The point of land it’s on was reamed for The Walkers, Bush’s maternal great grandfather and grandfather.

The property is set in a neighborhood with large mansions. The main house, although very nice with nine bedrooms, is not the most impressive home in the area.

The pull-off on Ocean Avenue gives a great view of the property. It’s a perfect vantage point for photos.

During my visit, a large white SUV drove up the driveway to the main house. The three of us were looking to see whom got out, but the SUV was so close to the front door that we couldn’t see anyone.

We rate the President Bush Compound at 4.50 and recommend a visit coupled with the drive along Ocean Avenue that leads to other close-by attractions, including Blowing Cave Park, Spouting Rock, Parson’s Way, and “An Anchor to Windward George H.W. Bush” sculpture.

Nice View

The house on the shore is very nice. Good to see some distance kept so the residents can have some privacy. I appreciate his service to the country.
