This place is just great. Its big without to be crowdy. Water is cold but not cold enough to discourage swimming. Waves are strong enough to provide fun to surfers, while still okay for children to enjoy. When one is aware of the required parking...More

loved the time we spent sea glass hunting and relaxing at this nice beach. Parking is a challenge so getting there by trolley is best.

Pretty decent surf but just a great place to take the family. Sand is fine and there are tide pools at various spots on the beach. Great for families or hanging with friends. Standard cold ME water disclaimer applies.

Fabulous beach morning, noon or night. Perfect for strolling, running, digging in the sand, and enjoying the surf! Dogs welcome in the early am and late evening.

We went to this beach because our Inn provided a parking pass. Parking is limited on the street. The beach is sandy, flat and the water is real shallow. Great for kids (we didn't have ours). One word though, when the tide is high beach...More

I don't think there are very many dog friendly beaches in season. Maine is our go to place off season because it does get very busy in the summer. I do know many people who rent homes through VRBO and have had great... More
