It's impossible to find a better place to stop and enjoy a peaceful, contemplative break. The grounds are beautiful and worth some time just to catch your breath. Surely not a place to rush through--give yourself an hour, just to decompress. There's a beautiful chapel indoors and a grotto set in a large grassy meadow outdoors. Plenty of parking. Highly... We liked staying here. The rooms were more like a dorm type of arrangement. Our room was clean and we had a bathroom. The site is very nice here. I enjoyed the salt water pool. The food was pretty good as well.

We saw St. Anthony's on Trip Advisor and thought it would be a nice quick stop. We are so glad we did because there is so much more to see than the main photo on TA! There is a lovely walking path, a swing over looking the water, and so much more. Take an hour and explore the grounds! It's... More

some great views on the river, intriguing history. We went thru by trolley tour, we walked there and spent several hours exploring and enjoying grounds and statues/monuments and the church and gift shop too.we actually went back in the Evening, they had a guitar concert event, was fascinating, as well as "pot luck catered" by the Lithuanian community folks, fabulous... I've never stayed here but have friends who have. I make this a near daily meditation stop. I've practice karate for years and this is one of those places where I don't need to slip on my headsets for an amazing form-driven meditation. If you meditate, know what it means to follow your breath, or simply want time to think,... More

Please visit this Monastery while in Kennebunkport. NOt only are there gorgeous statues, buildings and fountains but many small statues on trees located on a delightful trail. A wonderful place to meditate.

Over 30 years ago returning from a trip to Canada we found ourselves in Kennebunkport over the busy 4th of July weekend. Long before the web and back in the days of finding a hotel as you went along in your travels there was not a room to be found along the southern Maine seacoast for weary travelers. After trying... The grounds are poorly kept but still has some fascinating things to see. The church it self was gorgeous. The Windows where some of the best I have seen. The gift shop was supposed to open at 1..we left at 1:15 and it was still closed. Nice place considering it's free

Stopped here on a group tour. Beautiful grounds. I'm not a Catholic, but was interesting to see their way to worship. Nice gift shop, wish I had more time to look around.

Right on the river, this oasis provides shade, lovely landscaping, and a view to the opposite side of the river where all the action is. It's a contemplative spot. They do have some bare bones rooms to rent and provides meals, but we've only walked the lovely grounds.
