Take a few minutes to stop in and walk around the grounds. There are several spots you may stop, sit, reflect and pray if you wish. The statues and grotto are very well maintained. Plenty of free parking and no entrance fee. Restrooms are also...More

We drove by the monastery and decided to stop to take a look at it. It's a nice quiet place to meditate or relax, even if you are not a believer.

The grounds here are really nice. There are a few places to roam around and visit. Perfect for quiet contemplation and solitude. I came here off-season so I can't speak to how busy it is during tourist season. The gift shop was closed as well.

Whether religious or not a wonderful place to see. The ground and sculptures and interesting and during Christmas Prelude it is a must take to sing carols with candles lit!

This very old estate was purchased and converted to a beautiful Monestary after WWII. It has an interesting history of having belonged to a wealthy textile family until the mid-20thCentury. The chapel is still a lovely place for prayer and contemplation. But the grounds are...More

This is where the "Candlelight Caroling" happens at Kennebunkport's famous Christmas festival, "Christmas Prelude". As you enter the grounds, you come upon a natural amphitheater where you'll see a large stone grotto set back from rows of wooden benches. This is a perfect place to...More

It says not parking on the grounds for Prelude. Where did you park or how did you get there?

Not sure where the Prelude is - there was loads of parking a one min. walk from the modestly in a large parking lot.
What is the availability of parking at the monastery? If limited, then is there parking within a reasonable walking distance?
