We happened to visit here on the day President Bush died. It made a visit to this beautiful place even more meaningful. Looking at the rugged coastline and the ocean brings kinship with those who came before.

You can see the flag flying at half mast on the lawn of the Bush home in Kennebunkport. It is quiet and serene. It was a privilege to sit overlooking the water on Walker Point and reflect on a great man.

Have been there 3times. Beautiful view. You just know what wonderful times the Bush family has made there with their families. Once in Kennebunkport we stopped at a nearby restaurant and there sat President HW Bush, our president st the time. With his passing this...More

Stunning as always, but this time was very emotional. We will always remember 41. I can't imagine being inside the compound looking out. It must be magical!

It's a nice spot - Walker's Point - a scenic and dramatic location. It was interesting to read up on the story of the original owner.

You can't drive in (logically enough), there really is no good place to park, and the compound is pretty far away so pictures are iffy, unless you have a powerful zoom lens. Best way to see it is to drive by and take photo from...More

What a “regular” person would call cottages are not what you see here. Absolutely beautiful properties with manicured lawns. Kennebunk and Kennebunkport are fantastic places to visit. Walker’s Point is exciting to see but you can’t stop and stare for obvious reasons. Even the Secret...More

We loved the town of Kennebunkport, but Walker's Point was the highlight of the area. Walkers point is scenic and and wild all at the same time. The Bush family summer home is at strategic place on this beautiful peninsula!

This will not allow posting a link, but do a search on this site for excursions, etc. I would say mainly the beauty--beaches, etc. and FOOD! The food is to die for!

Is Walker's Point still fun? (3 Replies)
The last time I was in Walker's Point was about 15 years ago, and it was a blast...Steny's....Timers....some of the others I can't remember. Anyway...is it still fun? Have the bars changed? I'll be in Milwaukee, and was thinking about checking it out again. Thanks.

Timers is still there and so is Steny's, I think and several other bars. The area is getting more trendy. Many would say it has improved.
