Knowledgeable staff, pleasent and truely passionate about sharing their local history with visitors. We went on a cruise after our visit a board the 104 year old Katahdin ("Kate") and spent an enjoyable afternoon on Moosehead Lake>

Go to Historical Society before you go to the B-52 crash site as the Historical Society museum has interesting displays and newspaper articles. Museum is free. Also has interesting Aviation and native American displays.
