This was a less than pleasant experience due to the obnoxious, loud drunks. Sometimes we had trouble hearing the music over their hooting and hollering. I understand people want to have a good time, but please some respect. When people are boarding with huge coolers, there is trouble. Also, boarding was at 6, not a minute before. We thought we... Very sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy the Rock & Roll cruise. We are always interested in improving passenger experience, so if you could recommend some concrete steps to address the issues you brought up, it would be helpful to us in planning cruises for next season. More

I can't wait to take another cruise on the Kate (The Katahdin)! This would be great for a couple, group of friends, or a whole family! I'm sure a fall cruise would be spectacular with the colorful foliage.

Sounded like a great way to see the lake and beautiful scenery while picking up some local history. In reality- it was about 2 hours too long and about 50 people too many. Most of us only had metal folding chairs which of course are quite uncomfortable. If you stood up to see over the railings - chances are you... More

The museum is worth a visit prior to boarding. It will give you a good idea of the history of the Kate and logging in the area. Plan for 20 to 30 minutes. We went on a Thursday for the 3 hour sugar island tour. The crew was great and the views were fantatstic. Our 2 girls (9 &11) got... More

My husband and I went on the boat ride. We went on the 5 hour one. It was very pretty scenery. I would have been fine with the 3 hour ride but it was really nice. I would definitely recommend this to anyone.

A nice way to see the lake. Nothing fancy, but well done. Time to upgrade the folding metal chairs on deck, but the captain was informative without being overwhelming.

We visited the Moosehead Lake area as my wife had read a magazine article about the boat trip. Beautiful scenery , good narration throughout the tour. Amazing to think this vessel is over 100 years old. The staff could not have been friendlier and the simple snack food was fresh and well presented. I loved my strawberry shortcake.

We were on the Katahdin for a sunset cruise as part of a private dinner. The ride was smooth and the sunset spectacular. It is a beautiful older boat. The trip across the lake provided many amazing views of the lake.
