This is an outstanding experience in the Moosehead Lake area very professional and knowledgeable guide . I am a repeat client for a reason ... though moose and nature are unpredictable Chris has such an incredible fund of knowledge and insight into the moose behavior patterns that moose are nearly always seen ...as a photographer I would highly recommend Chris as a guide and I already look forward to planning my next trip...I have gone in the fall as well as summer and my experience has always been amazing you will not be disappointed at all👍👍💕💕

As a wildlife and nature photographer, I hired Chris Young to help me find moose subjects and autumn foliage in the Greenville, Maine region for my photography business. This young man delivered on my request far beyond my expectations. During my time in the field with Chris, I photographed more than fifty moose. At one location we set up among the pin cherries and poplar leaves as Chris started to call. His 2013 Moose calling national championship skills brought four moose cows and one bull moose to within 50 yards of us. His regional, habitat, and wildlife knowledge is remarkable and his efforts to produce moose sightings is exceptional. Chris knows how to adapt to weather variables that causes wildlife to change their patterns. I was able to take portrait level images of large bull moose where you can count the hairs on their chin and eyelashes. If you have a desire to explore the North woods of Maine in search of the majestic moose, I highly recommend Youngs Guide Service. I plan to return next year and use Young's guide service again. I would highly recommend for anyone who wants to photograph moose to highly consider this venue. I would highly recommend a minimum of three days with Chris. Potential viewing is a brief time early in the morning. By 8 am the moose are finished feeding and have returned to the heavy wooded areas making photography difficult. Weather is critical to viewing so by having several days planned if you encounter poor weather viewing conditions you have other days to view. I planned my trip during the Rut when moose activity is at its peak and they are more attracted to calling. As a wildlife photographer, I have learned over the years, wildlife viewing is highly unpredictable based on a variety of variables. A minimum three day trip will help to increase your chances of viewing the elusive Bull moose. I stayed at the Wilson Pond cabins that reside on Wilsons pond. Another great venue.

This was our third year in a row we went out with Chris. Every year it gets better and better! Chris is like an old friend now, even though we have only seen him three times! I wish we could go out with him for a week!! We love his passion for what he does, and how hard he works! He is very knowledgeable about the outdoors in every way, and always has some great stories to tell! We will be going back every year we can! If you want to see beautiful scenery and Moose we highly recommend calling Chris!

The excursion was incredible. Chris has so much passion and knowledge about moose. we saw 11 of them and heard his moose call champion call as the moose then looked for him giving us great photo shots. Chris is just an amazing young man and the excursion is well worth the time. We also saw otters and loons, a pheasant and a piliated woodpecker. Maine has the finest with Chris young .. I wish the world had more like him.

What an amazing moose safari with Chris! My friend and I returned for our 4 th guided trip and continue to learn about the area and benefit from his expertise and love of wildlife. We saw 12 moose, foliage and watched a great bull moose come to a sudden halt with Chris’s moose calls. Returning to Greenville last week to see him was like greeting a friend. His care and concern for people, animals and for the environment we live in together is awesome. We already planned our next trip for loons and eagles to add to our moose experiences! I’m planning a family trip too - it’s always great to be in nature with family and our teenage grandson- very centering! One trip is never enough!
